fknbuflobo Posted October 17, 2013 Report Posted October 17, 2013 Anyone thinking this will be a walk-through is mistaken. And Zips are not healthy. It will take great determination to put away this match early. http://www.buffalobulls.com/sports/msoc/index Quote
fknbuflobo Posted October 18, 2013 Author Report Posted October 18, 2013 Is anyone making the trip up? I will be watching the stream. http://gozips.com/sports/msoc/2013-14/rele.../20131017906wvy Quote
Aaron Posted October 18, 2013 Report Posted October 18, 2013 I'm planning on making the drive south as long as I can get out of work on time. It'll depend on the bridge traffic for me - getting back to the US on a Friday can be brutal. I'll be wearing a fear the roo hoodie and the scarf, doubt you'll have much trouble finding me among the buffalo crowd. Quote
fknbuflobo Posted October 19, 2013 Author Report Posted October 19, 2013 Anyone got the stream? Quote
GoZips88 Posted October 19, 2013 Report Posted October 19, 2013 Buffalo stream Would not work using Firefox v25. Got it to work using Opera. 0-0 at the half. Quote
Dave in Green Posted October 19, 2013 Report Posted October 19, 2013 Looks weird in an empty football stadium. Quote
Dave in Green Posted October 19, 2013 Report Posted October 19, 2013 Bulls playing a very aggressive, disruptive style. Zips having a really hard time trying to maintain control. Quote
fknbuflobo Posted October 19, 2013 Author Report Posted October 19, 2013 We nearly lost in the 83rd minute. Great save Pina! Quote
fknbuflobo Posted October 19, 2013 Author Report Posted October 19, 2013 Unbelievable! OT! This season sucks! Not a fun moment ever! Quote
Crew8 Posted October 19, 2013 Report Posted October 19, 2013 Unbelievable! OT! This season sucks! Not a fun moment ever! I'm feeling it too. Not looking sharp at all. Quote
fknbuflobo Posted October 19, 2013 Author Report Posted October 19, 2013 Is the camera facing south? Looks like we have the fairly strong wind in the second OT. Quote
Crew8 Posted October 19, 2013 Report Posted October 19, 2013 Is the camera facing south? Looks like we have the fairly strong wind in the second OT. I would think so with the wind going right to left. no idea. Quote
fknbuflobo Posted October 19, 2013 Author Report Posted October 19, 2013 Score! Zips win 2OT! Tell me, is whiskey good for ulcers? Quote
TennZip Posted October 19, 2013 Report Posted October 19, 2013 Salaam consistently showed energy all night man, is this team hard to watch Quote
Crew8 Posted October 19, 2013 Report Posted October 19, 2013 Score! Zips win 2OT! Tell me, is whiskey good for ulcers? escaped one in Buffalo. it would have been a disaster if they lost to another MAC squad. Drink up! Quote
bigzipguy Posted October 19, 2013 Report Posted October 19, 2013 Bulls may have gotten cheated, ref seemed to be calling for a stop of the clock, then changed his mind. Akron took advantage with a quick re-start. Another game where scoring was like pulling wisdom teeth. Zips - long pass , after long pass, ect. Not willing to make defense chase us , like in the past Quote
Dave in Green Posted October 19, 2013 Report Posted October 19, 2013 That really was hard to watch. How much of it was the Zips not playing up to expectations and how much was Buffalo overachieving? The Bulls seemed to be positioned just right all night to disrupt the Zips' game. The Zips couldn't get any continuity going at all. Quote

Not willing to make defense chase us , like in the past I'm ok with the long pass here and there, but I agree. It seems as if they go to the long ball to often trying to make a quick strike down the field and more often than not, we lose the ball to the opposition having to chase down the ball wasting more energy. Najem's goal was very similar to the second one in Cleveland St. if I recall correctly as in played to the top of the box from Salaam. Quote

Zips are at their best when they play the ball on the ground. They really are missing that CM who can take over a game and allow them to play short. Quote
ZachTheZip Posted October 19, 2013 Report Posted October 19, 2013 The long passes today are partially a consequence of playing on artificial turf designed more to benefit traction from football cleats than to have a soccer ball rolling on it. Quote
bigzipguy Posted October 19, 2013 Report Posted October 19, 2013 Zach, With all due respect, they have been going long on many passes all year - home and away. Quote
Crew8 Posted October 19, 2013 Report Posted October 19, 2013 Zach, my comment was based on the season and not just tonight. Quote
