MAC Preseason Poll

Surprised this hasn't been mentioned yet. According to the MAC pollsters this should be a banner year for the Zips men and women. Both teams are picked to win the East Division with the men picked to win the conference tournament and the women picked second behind CMU. Both teams also have two players on the preseason all-MAC East teams (Diggs, Treadwell, Tecca and Luburgh)

The MAC Preseason Poll also picked Toledo to win the MAC West, and many are giving Toledo a chance to win the MAC tournament. So how did the Rockettes do in their yawner exhibition game against D2 Hillsdale?

I was told the score of an exhibition game didn't matter.

Hillsdale is a good D2 squad. While embarrassing, I wouldn't put much stock into it. A few years ago Syracuse lost to D2 Le Moyne, only to win the Big East, finish #4 in the country, and a sweet 16 appearance.

Not sure Maurice will make a difference for OU (#3 ranked MAC east), but he is an interesting person.

Didn't get up early to watch the St Mary's game (good call, game apparently went about as I expected based on the last 10 minutes of the CCU game), but I did watch K.E.N.T. against Temple last night. The East is going to be a LOT more wide open than I (and others I'm sure thought heading into the season. K.E.N.T.'s newcomers (CMU transfer Jackson and Martin in particular) are solid. They play good team defense and are deep. With OU whipping MVC member NIU out of the gate, the battles in Jan/Feb should be dandies.

Toledo just knocked off Boston College in Boston, 95-92 after trailing by 8 at the half. Toledo didn't take their first lead until the last 2-3 minutes. Nice win for them over an ACC team.
