Quinn was right in saying that he didn't think the GK was expecting the SOG, as you can see in the video that the GK takes a hop forward before stepping back and jumping. Even with that it appears that the ball almost brushes his fingertips. Had he anticipated Quinn's shot and not taken that hop forward, he may have been able to stop it. Right. Adam Najem was the other one on the ball, from the opposite angle, correct? Najem flinched as if he was taking the right-footed shot, which because of the wall, would presumably go low and near post. I think that fooled the GK into a fruitless stutter step forward, just enough for Quinn to whip it in just over Wolverton’s fingers. Actually, I at first thought the 6’6” Wolverton would get to it. As this season has progressed, I am getting more excited about their chances - there has been no dominant team this year. This could be a year a team steals one, kind of like Indiana did last year.
