I won't name names but we make tons of really dumb mistakes. Fouling 30 ft from the hoop is just one example of this though there are many more that would make a high school coach cringe. Quote

And you wonder why I'm so hard on the men's team. I work with players practically every day, and I keep telling myself "How can I keep watching this, when I can show my players a game film from this team lately and label it 'What went wrong' and see if my players can figure it out. I watched the Lady Zips MAC opener, and they made some uncharacteristic mistakes, but they still overcame them and played a solid game at times, and beat a very good Ball State team. The fact that the women's team had their "3 stars" not play so well, and still score 87 points is a testament to the build of that program. And for anyone wanting a trip to the JAR, the rematch of the 2013 women's basketball MAC Championship game is tonight at the JAR against Central Michigan. The game will also be on the Time Warner Channel, ESPN3, etc. Quote

Just a few years ago all the talk on here was about how we put too much emphasis on basketball IQ and we don't have enough athletes on the team. Now we have more athletes on the team, but we don't have enough basketball IQ. So tough to find the happy medium at this level. Quote
