zippy5 Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 They're bad. But we still love to hate them, so thought a thread would be a good place to discuss their mediocrity this year. Quote
skip-zip Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 This will be a nice one to get past. After this, I'm seeing that stretch of BGSU and WMU on the road in a 3 day period as the real demanding part of the schedule left. I don't really like closing the season with 3 games in 6 days either, but ALL of those games are at home. That's really unusual, but that seems like our reward for playing so many road games early. It's probably a good thing that this very mediocre team we face Sat is K E N T meaning that we won't, or shouldn't have a letdown against a team that is viewed by most to be an inferior opponent. Still, the F lushes started their season well and appeared to be a serious East contender until their woes began. They must shoot well to play well. They are pretty soft inside so our game plan should be obvious to all. Can't assume anything though, they want this one bad and they did give the Spacely Sprockets all they wanted in Toledo before Mr. Slate devised a winning strategy. Since that game Steve Hawkins has returned to Western. Quote
The Hip Zip Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 BTW: Just got our tics and there are several nice chairbacks still to be had for 50 a pop. Go over to K ent, support the Zips and dine on a little black squirrel while your at it. Mmmmmm Quote
Quickzips Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 Take Can't lightly at your own risk. This is a rivalry game and their backs are against the wall. Another loss here and the path to even getting a first round home game in the tournament is shaky at best for them. My guess is that they come out amped up for this one.On the other hand, if the Zips can jump on them early it wouldn't surprise me to see them fold. The way their psyche has to be right now, I can't imagine them being able to come back from a 10+ point deficit. Quote

Get out to a lead early, and watch Can't start to beat themselves. Quote
