I find it interesting that Akron had a few guys play professional football in the early 20th Century and then a long dry spell until more modern times. Quote

Kangaroo Craig Posted July 28, 2006 Report Posted July 28, 2006 They list Dwight Smith and Jason Taylor as retired in 2004. Smith was recently cut by the Saints, but signed with the Vikings. Taylor, of course, is still in Miami and has a chance to be a hall of famer. Quote
