Bosie State4. Utah5. BYU6. ToledoLong Shots: Akron, Houston, Marshall, Nevada, UTEP (EDITORIAL NOTE: Marshall is Big East now, so aren't they BCS?) 6. Upsets of the year Akron over North Carolina State, Sept. 9. Doesn't anyone else see this coming? The MAC is poised to pull several upsets this season with Kansas, Northwestern, Minnesota and Boston College coming to MAC stadiums. This one is in Raleigh. The MAC pulls at least one earth-shaker every year. The Rockets (think he meant Zips here) are arguably the class of the league. N.C. State is a mid-level ACC team with a ripped, pumped-up coach on the hot seat. Note to The Chest: Get to know Luke Getsy. Balki Bartokomous
" 6. Toledo: Based on schedule and head coaching alone, the Rockets should be a BCS factor in an otherwise watered-down MAC."Who is the defending champions? I think its some team from A ... Ack-run? is that how you pronounce it? I don't know.
TXZipFan
Toledo's QB's are terrible... and I've never seen a team in the MAC be successful without a good QB period.
Blue & Gold
I don't know. Toledo's new QB - Cochran - is awfully tough. He played at Wadsworth and is the real deal. I was hoping he'd sign with the Zips out of high school, so when he picked Toledo it was a dagger through the heart! Sure, he's probably no Gradowski (?), but he very well might have an outstanding year.Anyway, I actually hope he does! I'm for all of the MAC schools when they play out of conference. I hope Northern Illinois upsets OSU! Any out of conference victories for the MAC is good for the Zips. I just hope we beat Toledo when we have to travel to the Glass Bowl! Ouch. We've got a killer schedule.
