Here's the synopsis:

• A lot of people are jealous of Calipari, but he's working within the rules.
• Dambrot likes Bobby Hurley and what he's done at Buffalo.
• Doesn't like the graduate transfer rule but thinks if a coach leaves a player should be able to leave, too.
• It's important to spend time with your players off the court.
• At the mid-major level you don't really have to deal with the seedy AAU stuff
• LeBron, Lebron, Lebron
• Inevitable that a 30-second shot clock will come to college basketball
• NCAA scoring is at an all-time low
• Defensively, Akron was as good as its ever been, but offensively we struggled
• Doesn't like the media timeouts. NCAA will likely eliminate one timeout, maybe more.

Thank gawd, maybe we will change our offensive approach. The Zips should start preparing like it's a new rule next season.

I watched the Zips struggle offensively for too long. IMO the biggest myth in the last decade is that we are good defensively. I believe the staff works REALLY hard at trying to become a good defensive basketball team in practice, I just don't see the translation when it counts. Just one prime example...last play of the Ken+ game. That was not good defense when it counted.

I think the Zips are good defensively against most offensive looks, but one place where they fail miserably is defending in transition and against slashers.
