Zips on TV next week

I just emailed wbnx channel 55 about picking up the game next week. They showed bg vs wisconsin. It would be nice to show the home town team. Not sure if this is even an option as bg was espn+ I think. I am sure it depends on the ratings from the bg game, but getting 10 emails may at least have them think about it.

Well, do you guys want to make this a big event, I'll post it as a big event on Facebook and Myspace. We maybe could get like 35+ people easily. I'll send it to everyone and other people can make the same post and send it to all there friends, the more people that know about it the better.Better yet, we could throw a keg party somewhere and rent a big screen for the game.I like the panini's idea though.

I like the Panini's idea... we should support businesses that televise our team! We need to drop cash at Panini's and not just watch the game in someone's living room!

we had to make them televise it though, I gave them hell. We're going to have a harder time this week because OSU is playing Texas, but with 50+ Akron fans, we could make a lot of noise not just in Panini's but in the city. Let everyone know that Akron has a fan base. And we at Zipsnation are it's core. It's really are duty to rally everyone else because if we don't do it, Who will???

Mabye before the game, We could all meet somewhere and then travel to Panini's and make some noise on the way or something. Driving around, honking horns, yelling, showing our Blue and Gold colors, something like that. We have to let people know that we have a game next week. We could even spread the word by advertising it a the warm-up game for OSU-Texas. Anything to get people to watch and even care about the Zips. We have to do something, though, because the Akron marketing department has been silent thus far. The future of Akron's fan support is in our hands, and WE have to spread the word.

I have a big Expedition that has yet to have an Akron sticker on it. I could be game for that. The Akron games on at 1, the OSU games on at 8. There shouldn't be any conflict with the locals who only know OSU as the only div 1 college in Oiho.

NOOO! I just got a call from my boss. She's making me work from 2:00-10:00 PM on both saturday and sunday. I am still for the pre-game stuff, but I won't be able to be there for the game itself! This Sucks! There is a TV at work, but no ESPNU. Does anyone know if it will be on the radio, or will I have to settle for the score ticker at the bottom of ESPN?

Guys,With the Zips playing at noon and OSU at 7:00 PM, how could any bar have a conflict (if the Zips are televised). Jillians had the Zips on at least two TV's last week and would gladly host a Zips contingent.

OK, a little help here. Is ESPN-U just one channel, or a series of channels? I'm going to try to find a bar around here (Michigan) next weekend with ESPN-U (BW3 doesn't have it) to watch the game.

ESPNU is one channel that plays the same thing everywhere. Cable doesn't have the channel so you'll have to go somewhere with Dish Network or Direct TV. I'm hoping Panini's has it. If not, we can always walk down the street to Jullians, if not there, there's Brubakers.

FYI, the game is not on any local stations in Raleigh eitherBTW check out how many digital channels Raleigh has (28). Get with it Cleveland stations.I talk to people around here about channel 3.2 and they act like I'm from another planet.For those that are free OTA HD fans like I am, this guide (click here) is awesome.Seems like more NFL games are going to be in HD this year. All 4 games shown locally Sunday are in OTA free HD.(cle/no buf/pat dal/jax ind/gia)AND Saturday after you watch the Zips, you can watch ND/PSU and then OSU/TEX all in free HD.
