SoFlaZip
Where will shop be set up. I received my tickets in the mail today, section 17AA. I'll be flying up from Miami friday. Given NC State's "passing" offense and the Zip's reported DEFENSE against the run, I believe this is the D-1 breakout game we've been waiting for and I would not miss it for anything.DEFENSE SPEED DEFENSE SPEED DEFENSE SPEED DEFENSE SPEED DEFENSE SPEED DEFENSE

We arrive early afternoon on Friday. I'd like to begin some sort of tailgate at 8am Saturday...at least that's the goal right now. The fairground area is allegedly the best spot...maybe the only spot(?) to tailgate. I will send you my cell number. Give me a call Friday night and we can try and set things up. Or, give me a number where I can reach you (via the board message feature). I know of a few other Zip fans that will be there. It would be fun to get a group of 20+ together. I'd like to begin some sort of tailgate at 8am Saturday...at least that's the goal right now. The fairground area is allegedly the best spot...maybe the only spot(?) to tailgate. The fairgrounds lot is really not recommended for visitors. It's a student lot, which means a lot of drunkenness and generally a bad time for visiting fans. Not to mention that it's permit only, so you can't park there anyway.http://www.gopack.com/fls/9200/pdf/carter-...?DB_OEM_ID=9200All the spots shown in that PDF are permit only, but there are some surrounding areas where visitors can park. Cardinal Gibbons High School is also permit only.Google Maps linkOn the lower right of ^ link is the Vet School parking. It's free but fills up quickly. On the east side of Blue Ridge Rd, between Trinity and Hillsborough, pretty much underneath the water tower. Easy to get to and free, but the walk to the stadium takes you straight through the fairgrounds lot, which is generally not advisable for people with thin skin or small children. Other places to park are on the lower left of that map. There are a lot of office buildings with big parking lots in the Trinity, Edwards Mills, Nowell, Sunday, Kingdom area (a lot have been built since that satellite image was taken). I think a lot of these are pay lots for cheap enough ($5 or $10). You can also try to squeeze onto the shoulder of the roads in this area if you are not concerned with tailgating. The "fan zone" takes place in that grassy courtyard at the southeast corner of the RBC center, directly between the RBC Center and Carter Finley Stadium. There's a bit of food there and the kids might enjoy some of the games they have set up.Have fun and good luck!

I don't mind mixing it up a bit with the local fans or students. It makes for a fun game day. I'd rather that, than sit in a cow pasture by myself. I've been to just about every major stadium the Zips have played in over the past 20 years. Each game day is different, but always a blast. I look forward to seeing what it's like in Raleigh. Bigpackdaddy
Greetings from the Wolfpack Nation and good luck on Saturday. There is a parking lot for a daily rate around $10 just off Blue Ridge Rd. near the Wade Ave. intersection. Coming from the west and RDU airport, take Wade AVe exit off of I-40, go about 2 miles and take the Blue Ridge Rd exit (Not Edwards Mill Rd); at the top of the ramp turn right on Blue Ridge. Turn right at the first light and there is a paid parking on the right in a lot next to some office buildings. Lots of visitors and State fans who do not have season tickets pick this lot. The walk to the stadium is about 1/2 mile. Sorry, but that's about as close as you'll get. If anyone needs tickets, I own 5 season tickets but am only using 2 this week. I'll sell 3 in section 24 row x, seats 6,7,8, lower bowl for below face value at $75 total. Can e-mail me at pgross@ci.morrisville.nc.us to make arrangements for pick up Friday evening or Saturday morning. Good luck to the Zips and have a safe trip down to NC. There will be 57,000 strong tailgating. Its a great atmosphere.

But if nothing better pops up, this is where we'll hang out. For those who have my cell number, call me Friday night after 9pm and I should know the full story. If you still need my cell # to hook up for the tailgate, you have a short bit of time to send a message. I'm without a computer tomorrow & Saturday. Otherwise, happy hunting on Saturday morning!I'm guessing we'll have a group of 15 at this time. We'd love to have more. Player parents are welcome. Since the Zips road-following is growing, but still limited crew, parents have traditionally constituted the majority of our out of state tailgating group.See you there! Article and Video of New NC State Tailgating - Click CAPn' I'm a ZIP fan living in Carolina nd all my NCState friends are either to busy or too afraid to attend the game. How can i find you and fellow members of the ZipsNation?BTW these puppies are ripe for the picking. To quote a few NCState fans "Who's Akron?" Gonna be a good one!For anyone attending. Look for Mitches Tavern after the game on Hillsborough St. accross from the NCState clock tower. This is the tavern where the fight scene in "Bull Durham" took place.
