Sergeant Zip
Per Eric Moneypenny / FOXSports.com Question: How'd the Big East and Big Ten schools miss out on a talent like Akron's true freshman receiver David Harvey? Dude's super fast, shifty and a great all-around athlete. Did I mention he's caught six balls for 168 yards against big-time de-fenses Penn State and NC State? Maybe Harvey wound up with Akron because he's only 5-foot-11 and 160 pounds. If his light weight's the thing, then I guess I didn't know that peanut butter sandwiches and protein shakes were illegal in BCS conferences. This dude can play.Way to go JD. liljc
I gotta say that Harvey has been totally impressive. He's small, so he's not gonna break too many tackles, but they're gonna have to catch him first. It seems like he gets open on every play. Once they get this thing rolling, Harvey, Jabari and Kasparek may be tough to defend. That is if Crouch can keep ANYONE off on Luke.
Dr Z
Watch him run routes when you get to sit in the Rubber Bowl. He runs every route crisp. The first time I saw him at PSU, it was obvious to me that he will be a star.I have been told he has great hands too. Quickzips
And just think, this is only his second game of the season. Imagine what this kid is gonna do to the MAC defenses latter in the season and throughout his career. This kid is just gonna flat out torch some of these soft defenses. PSU NIP
Not trying to flame here. Harvey was looked at by PSU, Pitt, and some others. Heck, PSU's starting QB spent a couple of years throwing to Harvey. The questions about him never had to do with talent, but grades. He had some issues getting his academics in order and Akron was the one smart team that stuck by him throughout the entire process.

He had offers from all the big schools but failed out of high school. He did not even put fourth an effort to even graduate. The following year he enrolled in night school at a different high school (Thomas Jefferson) to graduate. He was set to go to Pitt in january but could not get accepted into school. He sat out the spring semester and enrolled at akron.
