LZIp Posted December 13, 2015 Report Posted December 13, 2015 PFF released their G5 dream team.It is filled with MAC honorees, and 3 of our own Zips made an appearance. We all can guess Jatavis, that means the other two were shafted in the in the MAC awards, but according to PFF's advanced stats, ranked among the best in the nation (non P5) at their positions.https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2015/12/11/pffs-non-power-5-dream-team-best-players-at-every-position/ Quote

ZippyforPresident Posted December 13, 2015 Report Posted December 13, 2015 Interesting that Utah State's Kyler Fackrell and Akron's Jamal Marcus were named as the two best edge rushers. It will be interesting to see how much of an impact each one has on our matchup in Boise. Quote
akronzips71 Posted December 14, 2015 Report Posted December 14, 2015 I think it is fair to say there once again will be Zips in the NFL. Quote

I'm sure I could have missed it, but I don't recall seeing Ward playing on special teams this year. Gilbert and Bell I definitely recall playing (even some mop-up LB duty against U@B ). These stats don't list Ward with a tackle, but of course that doesn't mean he didn't play. Edited December 15, 2015 by johnnyzip84 Quote
pitside Posted December 15, 2015 Report Posted December 15, 2015 Scout team players don't usually play.... Quote

Even though the Zips Football website shows both had played in about 5 games .. Neither one did and were redshirted. Reliable source as Lako is my sons roommate. Lol 1 Quote
