Why does Akron play OSU away??

OSU is horrible, this is stupid. It's like Akron playing at Ashland for a football game. We all know Akron has the best footballers in Ohio. Could someone explain why we play them away instead of at home??????? Tue, Sep 26 at Ohio State ??????????????????

Horrible is the wrong word to use here. Sorry. It just seems like Akron always plays them away. Akron is a powerhouse soccer program. Teams like OSU should have to travel here if they want a shot at playing the best.

you DO realize that OSU played in Akron last year, don't you? Also you realize what happened 4 years before that when they played at Akron, don't you? An OSU player died in that game. I heard that they wanted to wait until all of the players from that team could not come back to Akron due to eligibility becaue of the memory of what happened the last time they were at Lee Jackson Field. Last year we beat them 3-0. I believe that is the answer you are looking for.

Akron has only 5 away games (if you don't count the tournament), you can't complain about that. Big game tomorrow against Indiana, let's Pack the Jack. I'm going to some ZRC meeting around 5, hopefully I'll catch the game after.

Uhh. We play OSU away this year because we played them at home last year. When you play the same team for continous seasons you always switch home and away. Thats why in football we play new teams every year so that they dont have to come to Akron.

Yeah, that was my mistake. I assume by football you mean American football and I didn't notice that it was under the Akron Zips Soccer forum. I thought you were talking about next season when the Zips play the Buckeyes in football.In this case, OSU should be coming here so we can kick their ass and send them home!No big paydays in soccer as far as I know, but then again they don't need money from us as their soccer team can take some of that football money they earn.

Ouch, I can't believe we lost to them. It's of very little consolation to note that it was a road game and that OSU really is a more talented team than their record would indicate.
