K-Roo
Kelly Sends Tape to MAC Complaining Akron Held Basuin 37 times
Quickzips
Wow, what a p*ssy. I'm sorry but theres no other way to put that. Your stud DE didn't get held 37 times w/out a ref seeing it Kelley. What the heck do you want anyways? O-lines to not even touch him and give him free shots at the QB? This almost sounds as bad a Chuck Amato and his non-qualifiers excuses.
Bleacher Bum
There's holding on every play. It's just up to the referee to decide if he wants to call it or not. I searched the Play-By-Play online and found only one holding call all day and it was against CMU. Call me crazy, but I'd much rather watch a game where the referees do not call holding every other play. When that happens, it's like watching a Browns game. Arrohead
It's the first time in Kelly's 16 yr coaching career that he has ever sent in a film like this for review. He wants clarification to what holding is and if they consider Akron's OL technique legal or not. If it is OK he wants to start teaching our OL to start doing the same. 46 pass attempts and not one OL holding call. I can see why you would not like holding called when our premeir player is on the DL. If things were reversed you guys would be upset as well! zipseuph
if things were reversed and we were the winning team we probably wouldn't be talking about you guys right now and looking ahead to a great week at the rubber bowl (finaly)

That's not what Kelly is trying to do. I don't think he gives a tinker's damn about Akron's technique. In his mind it has become clear that excessive holding is the way teams have decided to deal with Bazine and he is anticipating it will continue during the season. He is simply trying to get officials to pay more attention in future games and he is using Akron to get what he wants. And he will probably get what he wants. We shall see what happens in the EMU game. This isn't any different than coaches working the officials on the sideline during a game. It's a step up from having a player complain to an official during the game that he is being held. I think it is a smart move by Kelly. midlandchip
Okay, you got me. I always knew I was getting old(er). Now I'll have to start dealing with the fact that I may be slowing down mentally as well. I'll try to do better next time.
Zip N' Dots
Arrohead is saying the same crap on ncaabbs.com. He is so full of it. Don't listen to him. He is a tool!
Captain Kangaroo
That's hilarious. There were 3 challenged referee's calls in that game. Shockingly, all three went against the Zips! All three were subsequently overturned, including an obvious TD by Jabari. The refs blatently tried to give the game to CMU. JD should sent that info to the MAC office. The CMU coach knows if they make it to the MAC Championship game, it will be against the Zips. He's just employing some weak gamesmanship in hopes he gets a few calls come December. There couldn't be a more appropriate emoticon:
goo redhawks
Akron has always been cheap when they play Miami. I can understand where Kelly is coming from. This cannot be tolerated. Our guys know how you play and will be ready to extend our win streak against you. This type of sportsmanship cannot resume.
