Ryno aka Menace
The score was 33 to 13...I still think we need to give our backup QB some experience for insurance purposes and for next season. Because as competitve as the MAC is this year I don't see to many opportunities for blow outs. Just my opinion.
Buckzip
I agree. We need to get the young guys, especially QB, some playing time when possible. N. Texas would have been a great opportunity for that.
Hilltopper
If we hab recovered the onside kick Jackson would have seen some playing time.
liljc
Brookhart was doing his best to get Jackson into the game. He was warmed up and ready but the defense couldn't get the ball back after that terrible effort on the onside kick. Jackson and the whole second team offense missed out on a golden opportunity to get some valuable playing time. I was so frustrated sitting there in the stands watching that second half debacle. Imagine how the second teamers were feeling. They're all pumped up and ready to go hit someone, but we can't get the ball out of N. Texas' hands. Our special teams just plain suck. Yes, Jackson should have gotten some playing time, and Jacquemain should have , too. I think it was what JD intended to do, but it just didn't work out that way. ziptrumpet87
I wonder if burning Aaris Reed's redshirt was a good idea or not. The way Walker was running most of the game and the success of the passing game, I can't see why we couldn't have finished the game without him. Granted it got him some real game experience, but I like having some redshirt guys that become 5th year seniors. Maybe JD's recruiting class is strong enough in RB's that it won't matter. I hate burning a redshirt for mop up duty. If he is actually needed, that is different. The very few carries he receives at the end of the game don't really count as experience enough to burn the redshirt. We just need to trust JD.
