zipsoutsider Posted July 29, 2017 Report Posted July 29, 2017 If Terry Bowden finishes 2017 in Akron, it will be his longest-running gig ever This article, IMHO, has the best Zips analysis, to date. 3 Quote

Wow only favored in three games, APB, Buffalo and Kent. :-( Quote

The folks who make these predictions only look at the previous season and how the team finished. They don't know too much about the current roster. I think we are going to surprise a lot of people. 1 Quote

Balsy Posted August 1, 2017 Report Posted August 1, 2017 I mean the predictions/write up cherry-picks a lot of stats (fair/unfair) talks about them...as if they have real value...and leaves out that Warren Ball will be toting the ball. Quote

The crazy part about this season is that nobody has any flipping idea of how this season will turn out. I wouldn't be anymore surprised if we were 8-4 as if we were 4-8. The MAC is really bad. Can't wait to see how things unravel. 1 Quote

I think it's a fair opinion that the defense could improve quite a bit over last year and still blow. Yes, they were that bad. Woodson and Ball need to be healthy and the OL and WR units need to come up large. Milwee calling a good game is also necessary for the offense to be worth a tinker's damn. If the Zips can't prolifically score points, we are in for a long year. If they can, we probably go to a bowl. 1 Quote
