InTheZone Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 Zips offense struggles, but much like last year, Buffalo struggles more. Special teams finally scores this year and puts us over the top.Zips 20Buffalo 10 Quote
RowdyZip Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 Hmmm...almost blowing a win on Saturday against a mediocre team will open the eyes of a very talented but not that disciplined team. Zips offense explodes with 3 touchdowns in the first half alone and the D doesnt allow a TD all game...Zips 31Buffalo 9 Quote
ZipDad57 Posted November 9, 2006 Report Posted November 9, 2006 My prediction ZIPS WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In a hard fought game.......... :gun:COCKED LOCKED AND READY TO ROCK!!!!!!!!! Quote
Ballingirl Posted November 9, 2006 Report Posted November 9, 2006 Defense is going to come out explosive. Offense will come out and struggle in the first half. They will finally get it together and pull ahead in the 2nd half. Defense holds strong. Final Score: Akron: 27Buffalo: 14While all predictions are just that, predictions, there is one thing I can "predict" and it will for sure occur: Crouch finishes the game with another penalty against him. johnnyzip84 Posted November 9, 2006 Report Posted November 9, 2006 I am taking the "cop-out" approach by making a qualified prediction. I do this based on the difficulty the Zippers have had in stopping the run lately. OK here goes.Scenario 1: Starks gets > 100 yards rushingBuffalo 30 Akron 27 (Zips miss 1 extra point, Bulls win it late on 3rd FG of game) Scenario 2: Starks gets < 100 yards rushingAkron 33 Buffalo 17 (Zips miss 2 extra points, but Bulls turnovers kill them) Quote
RowdyZip Posted November 9, 2006 Report Posted November 9, 2006 Off to tailgate. IT's 11AM! Working retail has its advantages when Thursday is always a day off... GO ZIPS!!!! Quote
blueandgold Posted November 9, 2006 Report Posted November 9, 2006 Here we go. Zips have just under 100 yards in penalties, miss 1 extra point and one field goal. We actually run the ball in the red zone instead of throwing across the field on 3rd and 1 for an interception. Kennedy gets 2 TD's. Harvey gets another TD and CJ finally gets in the game late for mop up duty.Final score: Zips 26 Buffalo 13 Quote
bobbyake Posted November 9, 2006 Report Posted November 9, 2006 Akron 33, Buffalo 24Attendance will probably be in the 9,000's. The weather is great but it's Thursday. Quote
bobbyake Posted November 10, 2006 Report Posted November 10, 2006 wow, over 14,000. I was wrong. Maybe that's why there were so many empty seats in class today. Quote

Ballingirl Posted November 10, 2006 Report Posted November 10, 2006 And crouch with a BIG 15 yarder!!! Not to mention the rest of the team! In the 3rd quarter, our offense had 2 penalties, were saved when Stec missed the low snap, picked the ball up and ran for the 1st down, then followed by 3 more penalties! Are you kidding me?? 5 penalties in the same series!!! COME ON!!!!!! Quote

If it werent for that late TD against our 2nd string I wouldve predicted this EXACTLY. Go figure. Quote
RACER Posted November 10, 2006 Report Posted November 10, 2006 i heard the crouch over /under for penalties in the ou game is three.im hoping by the 11th game he will improve to just two but ya never know. Quote
