Guest Maclord Posted July 23, 2004 Report Posted July 23, 2004 Somebody here said they didn't want to give the Beacon their personal info. I hate doing this to read articles too, and I recently read about a site that gets you around this. It's called bugmenot.com You go to it, enter the site you wish to read articles on, (in the case of the beacon, you enter ohio.com), and it gives you an email and password that someone has donated to bugmenot for all to use. Then you go back to ohio.com, log in with the password they gave you, and you are all set. Works for many papers out there. Quote

Zipsrifle Posted July 23, 2004 Report Posted July 23, 2004 Typically I just fill that stuff in with a bunch of junk and put down an e-mail that I use just as a dumping ground. Everytime I go to the PD I put in that I'm a 98 year old woman from florida or something. Gets me where I want to go and ruins their data. I'm not that computer savy so maybe there is something I'm missing here. Quote
GoZips Posted July 25, 2004 Report Posted July 25, 2004 Dang, ZIPSRIFLE, now I know why I'm getting e-mails from the PD for their personals ads. I always put in the data field that I'm a 96 year old man living in Jacksonville. Quote
