Hmmm I wonder if qualifying could be an issue? Scout and Rival have schools like NC State, Iowa St, Illinois, Texas A&M and Baylor interested in him, although he's only rated a 1-star. He looks a little light for a DE (225 LB), but at 6'5" he could fill out nicely. Hope he likes his visit!

I think he will play OLB in college where ever he ends up. He will be there a whole year and he is trying to get his best friend Zach Hillary a FSU commit to come with him. Shead also has a good pedigree where his brothers have all played D1 - Kenny 81-84 Nebraska Drake at Nothern Illinois. Shead says he is interested and says still may choose Akron if A&M or Illinois offers.

I would love to see a 6-5 OLB on the field. If the young man is from Texas tha nhe must be a player. Hopefully he ends up wearing the Blue and Gold. Akron is a raising university.Tell him he can bring his friend along to. We could use a good OL.

It would be nice to land him. Even at DE he could excel. Remember Jason Taylor was not the proto-typical DE, but look what he did for us and continues to do in both DE and OLB position at Miami.

YEEEHAWW he's from TEXAS!!! lol!!! I like it... we're gonna be able to recruit the DFW area if we get another TX player, that would make it one player from Plano and one from Fort Worth, both from good programs... I LOVE IT!!! There is definitely some untapped talent down here, I know alot of people are against it, but it's some of it is probably because I don't think any school in TX takes Prop's, but there is so much talent to go around down here it's CRAZY. It also doesn't hurt to be playing @ North Texas next season.

Hey guys. Remember a few years ago we had an outside linebacker prospect, who we knew was a good football player, and he was tall, but was also thin, and needed to grow a little bit. His name was Jason Taylor.

You're right we definitely need a big hitting safety, I feel like our safetys this year did alot of arm tackling and never really laid any body out, consequently the missed alot of tackles as well. If you know the kid personally you need to have him send his tape to Akron. Maybe after seeing what he's got they get on him.

We played on the same team this past year at Hargrave and I would really like to go to college with him. He has been offered by Can't St. and he said he didnt like it there at all. So Akron has a chance.
