TXZipFan
i think our defense will be fine especially ;since alott of there guys on offense are leaving early. i have no idea how our offense is going to score points breaking in a new qb,and o-line though.plus we need to find a kicker.Although I agree that our defense should be fine and our kicking situation is anything but stable (keeping my fingers crossed that Iveljic heals up), but having a new QB and O-Line. IMO I thought Kemme outperformed just about all our other O-Lineman and other than Alleman I don't think any will be hard to replace. I EXPECT which ever QB that steps in to perform as good or better than Getsy did this season. Just look at TRUE Freshmen Nate Davis of Ball State this past year who out performed Getsy, if the CJ's or Hakes aren't better than him I am mistaken on the amount of talent we have at QB.(Just thought of something... if we rotated Jacquemain and Jackson we could refer to them as The CJ's hahaha i.e. like The LeBron's, just a funny thought I had while typing)
K-Roo
Interesting site...http://www.lsufootball.net/tvschedule.htmSays Zips 1st game is Army on Sept 1st... then off to Columbus. We would have agame under our belts. This site lists as a Home game... did we get Army to switch the 2 for 1, giving us the 2 home games first?Gozips.com still says we are at Army?? Wonder what iMack has up his sleeve.... anybody hearing anything???
ZachTheZip
I certainly hope that is true. I wished we had more home games earlier in the season last year. Having played a game already would benefit the team greatly when they go to Columbus.
ZippyAlum
http://www.goarmysports.com/ViewArticle.db...610&SPSID=48157This article also says that we play Army on Sept. 1st.
Captain Kangaroo
http://www.goarmysports.com/ViewArticle.db...610&SPSID=48157This article also says that we play Army on Sept. 1st. Like several others, I've heard this will be "The Patriot Game" (or something like that) held at Cleveland Browns Stadium.Army owed us a game from several years ago. I believe they backed out, but promised they'd make it up...and I think this is the make-up game. Credit to them...most schools just screw you over.Unrelated: Bobby Ross retired yesterday. akronad
If the game with is Army true, which it seems to from the article, then would seem as if the rumors we heard about playing UConn might also be true. The Army game was originally set for 9/28 at West Point, so who knows if we might just plug UConn into that date.I know the MAC doesn't release the league schedule until March or April but the Zips would be wise to annoounce their non-league opponents now. ZippyAlum
A three year assistant named Stan Brock was named coach of Army yesterday.
