ZachTheZip
They still have some work to do, namely coordination between the two sides. Other than that, they just about put the o-zone to shame. Great Job!
Bleacher Bum
Once we get the two sides on the same page, look out. We were loud the entire game. The O Zone is loud for about half of the defensive possessions.

Come check us live and help us rock the JAR. Fatherly duties....had to watch the kids. Zips81 - BRING THE KIDS! IT'S CAN'T!?! The full house was awesome. Combine that with the job the Rowdies did on both ends of the floor with overflow upstairs and it actually felt like a big-time college basketball game! Great job Rowdies - keep those end sections full and noisy. I thought the band did a nice job too. Drum line needs to stay.
zip81
As one who used to watch games in old Memorial Hall, last night shows how far the basketball program has grown.Win or lose, it is a different level.Life is good! johnnyzip84
I concur with all of the AK Rowdie kudos! It was AWE$OME seeing both ends full, and even pockets of "spillover" in the upper ends. I saw lots of future little Zippers with Rowdie gear too. Thank you for all of the effort! skip-zip
I haven't seen that kind of environment in the JAR since I was a student back in the 80's.The only thing I DON'T want to see is for only about 1,500 people to show up to the next home game. But, the crowds seem to go back to normal levels after the Can't game.Rowdies...you guys are adults...nobody can tell you to stop saying the word "Sucks".Nice job. Let's keep the momentum going through the remainder of the season.
GoZips88
The BIG crowds are a little like Christmas (Can't) and Easter (OU?) at church.
BZip_08
There were a lot of new rowdies last night. Freshmen even! The side across from the band seemed like a lot of newer people that haven't been out for every single game like some of us. I just hope we bring out the big crowds for the game Feb 13 vs OU... it's my 21st birthday, and I want a big win!

Great job Rowdies - keep those end sections full and noisy. I thought the band did a nice job too. Drum line needs to stay. Say what you will about the "K-E-N-T State sucks" chant, (there's only one school I'll ever chant that about), but I was beyond impressed, sitting low behind the hoop, when all of the sudden I hear that lovely chant being started from the folks sitting above in the overflow section of Rowdies. They were also starting "Z-Fense" and other chants as well...If we could bring this crowd every game, we should never lose in our house. I've never been more proud to be a Zip than after last nights game. Did you hear how loud that place got when even the AK-Oldies were standing up and cheering? DEAFENING!!!!GET ALL YOUR FRIENDS, FAMILY, NEIGHBORS, CO-WORKERS, ACQUAINTENCES, RANDOM PEOPLE OFF THE STREETS, AND SHOW UP SUNDAY!!! Valpo Zip
The BIG crowds are a little like Christmas (Can't) and Easter (OU?) at church. It shouldn't be like that... Those who showed up yesterday and had a great time and saw great basketball, why won't they come back ?Granted there was 600-700 Can't state fans who will not show up for other games but the remaining 5000 should keep coming. Zipmeister
Skippy, Your ticket gives you a "license." Basically that's the right to sit in your seat for the event. But the party who issued the license normally has the right to terminate the license. So if the license issuer tells you not to say "sucks" and you keep saying "sucks" your license may be revoked even if you are an adult. MightyZip6
Last Night was AWESOME! It seemed Athletics was very pleased with the way the students showed in HUGE numbers last night. My only concern is that it was one game. What next? BUFFALO (the team from Canada) Even though they are stuggling we need to show in the same number! So yes Congradulations to the K.E.N.T attendence but there are more games to go and it starts with Buffalo Sunday. I personally know that Druuuuu said it was loud last night, and that's way he likes it, however people who attended the first members meeting in November know that he is not satified after one try. Keep up the GREAT work, and then we will call out ALL other STUDENT sections in the MAC!BE LOUD, BE PROUD, BE ROWDY, AND OF COURSE GO ZIPS
