sgm405
Mine was in the Thursday Preview I posted last night in my blog. Regular Season Result: Akron 78, Central Michigan 71Notes: If the Akron Zips play to their potential, they won't lose this game, or any game in the MAC Tournament for that matter. But there's a reason they play the games. Central Michigan is no slouch, playing Akron close for the majority of their last meeting at the JAR. In that contest, The Chippewas outshot the Zips 59% (27 of 46) to 48% (28 of 58), but Akron dominated in the paint, scoring 42 points down low compared to the Chippewas' 28. The Zips also held the advantage in points off turnovers, scoring 19 to Central Michigan's 10. Romeo Travis and Jeremiah Wood will need big games, and more will be needed from Dru Joyce and Cedrick Middleton this time around - the two combined to shoot 5 of 20 in the last meeting. With the momentum coming from last Sunday's huge win over Can't State, I can't see the Zips not showing up for this one.Prediction: Akron 77, Central Michigan 65Let's hear some more predictions!!!!! jeaglet1
I'll say Zips 75 CMU 70. CMU shot the lights out early against Buffalo, and if Watson keeps shooting well, it could get interesting. Too much Akron in the post for CMU to actually win.
originalrowdy
Akron's defense is just a LITTLE BIT better than Buffalo's (I mean this sarcastically, of course)... Good Guys: 67Chippewas:
blueandgold
We shut down Watson, we stop CMU.Akron 81 CMU
Zips fan
I think the Zips are better than CMU on a neutral floor by 10. Add in the fact that CMU is playing their second game and the Zips should have a home crowd advantage, I could see us up by as much as 15.Final Score:Akron 71CMU
Valpo Zip
We stay out of foul trouble, we take the ball inside and we beat the hell out of CMU.75-55.
BZip_08
I say almost the same score as the game at the JAR. What's Important? BOARDS. BOARDS. BOARDS... and free throws.
RowdyZip
No predictions from me. I cant be there to lend my lungs. What are the odds that the first test in each of my evening classes falls on THE thursday night of the season? And the stupid teachers wouldnt even let me take em early/late. Well, I'll be in between those tests and being updated via text from a friend...so that being said, GO ZIPS! <CMU>

johnnyzip84
Central gets off to a quick start and leads most of the 1st half, with a late UA run tieing the game at halftime, 32-32. Zips gradually pull away in the second half, keyed by at least one Quade Quake! Zips 75Chips 631st step in the way towards
sgm405
Tony Mejia has both Akron and Can't winning 79-72 tonight.
skip-zip
We'll learn from the lethargic way we played against them two weeks ago, and win this one going away. They can't continue to shoot like they did last night. And they have absolutely no answer to our strength inside. Plus, we play defense...unlike the Bulls. Akron 78-
timsum1283
low scoring affair becomes a defensive game.58-43 Zips
