ZipGrad93
Any word on Harvey? Seems like I read somewhere he currently isn't with the team. Was it personal issues, grades, or something? Is he coming back? He's not on the Spring Roster.I'd hate to see him gone after such an impressive season last year.ZipGrad93
RowdyZip
Take a look around on some other threads. I believe the latest word is that he is indeed not on the spring roster because of the vague old "personal issues" but supposedly will be back over the summer. Here's hoping. bryanschapiro
He has had a lot of personal issues. Andy Alleman has said to me that he will return eventually, but there is no timeline. These are the same issues he has gone through for a while now, but it hasn't been this bad. I was told in confidance, so I can't give any information out, but he should be okay and back with the team soon.
timmyboy
Yeah he does have alot of issues going on an they have been going on for a while.Lets hope he can get things fixed and rejoin the team for the summer. Hopefully noone on the board starts bad mouthing and degradeing him for missing the spring practices an stuff, because he does come to the board and read the things that are being written about him, and we dont want him to think that we arent behind him, because im sure that everyone like myself thinks this kid is a very good football player and will help out the team alot. Him, Arthur,Hill,Long,Lindsey we could have a very deep WR group.

Dude, seriously why would you feel the need to degrade people or belittle them for using improper grammer or because of a spelling error? Does it really make you feel that much better about yourself that you can point out someone else's errors and mistakes? If you ask me it makes you look like an a$$hole. All i was doing was writing to inform people a little bit on the Situation. Thats funny that Harvey hasent responded to your Facebook messages, because he has responded to me each time I have written him. Try not to be such an ass when I am just trying to help keep people updated on somthing.

skip-zip
Thinking of David Harvey....Last year's season was filled with such high expectations, and many of the guys that got it done for us during the previous MAC title season were not getting it done.So it makes you wonder....Even though we had a frustrating sub-500 season...it could have turned into a total disaster without some of the big plays made by David Harvey. We need you back!! Having graduated with a minor in English, one of my "pet peeves" concerning the internet is the fact that all too many people completely ignore spelling, grammer, punctuation, etc. I don't beleive that I am being anal retentive or anything, I do beleive that I am making use of the education that I received from the University of Akron. Also this post is not to call ayone names, embarrass anyone, of belittle others, but to make the point it is easier to read well written, properly spelled, gramatically correct posts. BirdZip
you could easily read and understand what i was saying in my post. I think you'd be surprised at how many people are turned off by bad grammar. Regardless of whether it's true or not, poor grammar hints at lack of intelligence--can I really trust what this guy is saying? Not saying it's true, but that's the thought that immediately introduces itself. And bad spelling can indeed make a post hard to understand. If nothing else, it's annoying. If you don't want people commenting on it, take a class and educate yourself. With respect to not saying anything bad about DH, I think everyone certainly agrees that you shouldn't personally attack someone here, but when a potentially key member of the team is AWOL with no explanation, people are going to be concerned, upset, etc. The longer the reason and likely outcome is kept secret, the worse that all gets. This board is here for opinions and discussion.

There's my contribution to the barrage of run on sentences. I also could help but notice a few things. "Beleive" should be believe (i before e, except after c...lol), "grammer" should be grammar and there is a typo in anyone. I'm sorry, I couldn't resist. I'm just a smart-ass engineer

I didn't really talk to 30 year old undergrads back when I played either.... but hey, maybe that was just me. I do hear Ted Ginn and Greg Oden are accepting blow jobs from such people however.... InTheZone
But back to the topic of this thread, I wouldn't worry about Harvey being back.... he will be, but what I'm most concerned about is the fact that he missed a crucial spring in his development. His route running, blocking, and fundamentals overall were putrid last year, and next season teams are going to adjust coverages to make sure he doesn't get deep. He really needed the practice time to become a more complete player but hopefully he can somewhat make up for it with some work over the summer. Hopefully we will be pretty deep at the WR position when the season starts. All of our WR have the ability to change the outcome of a game, and with the addition of Hill to the lineup it gives us another deep threat. skip-zip
Hey, with all of this WR depth and speed, wouldn't it be nice to see some 5-Receiver sets from time to time? I don't think anyone in the MAC would be prepared to defend such a situation.

A form of wit that is marked by the use of sarcastic language and is intended to make its victim the butt of contempt or ridicule.I mean...you are smart enough to realize that I have never really written to David Harvey and that I was just poking fun at timmyboy for bragging that he talked to him on Facebook...right??? sgm405
It'll be interesting to see what happens. If he comes back, they could have quite a few good WR's and it would help CJ quite a bit. Hopefully he does...and soon.
RowdyZip
I WASN'T a cocky ass when sending a message to David on Facebook. Seeing as I was a friend on the site, and after seeing a two-page thread inquiring to his status, I decided to send a cursory message asking his status for the Fall and telling him that the Zips needed him on the offense. Please don't be so defensive of your grammar issues, take a class or spend an extra 15 seconds to proofread your posts. Everyone else does. Have a nice day. I thought it was just a message board for Zips fans to communicate with each other on different threads. Next time all you have to do is read the thread, not make all the cocky type comments about someone's errors. Ive been told that my message in my post was pretty clear as to what i was saying. I wasent trying to be an ass when i replied to your comment I was just providing information that I know is accurate thats all. I mean if everything written on this board has to be 100% proper without any errors, i will just not post information anyone if you would prefer. zippyrifle32
personally, i hate using capital letters because i think it's a pain to hold the shift and type. it slows me down and if i took the time to do it i probably would have forgotten what i was trying to type. thank goodness word automatically capitalizes for me! i would also like to add that as a psychology major, i think your over agressiveness toward each other is due in part to your relationship with your mother as a child. not really, but it's something freud would probably say...lolif harvey is back, he's back. if not, that sucks. as fans there's really nothing we can do about it except hope for the best.
