MRasor0200
The Lance Jeter transfer is about 95 percent done. He'd have to sit out a year, of course.

zipfan 81
Mike, FYIHere is his choice:Kansas JC is next stop for Beaver Falls' JeterEx-Beaver Falls star returns to basketballTuesday, May 15, 2007By Mike White, Pittsburgh Post-GazetteLance Jeter, a former two-sport standout at Beaver Falls High School, will restart his basketball career at a junior college with the hope of playing in the future at Kansas State.Jeter said yesterday he will attend Hutchinson Community College (Kan.) in the fall and play basketball at the two-year school. Jeter recently left the University of Cincinnati, where he was on a football scholarship. He was redshirted last season. After leaving Cincinnati, Jeter came close to accepting a basketball scholarship to Akron. But Kansas State assistant coach Brad Underwood called Jeter recently, and Kansas State urged the 6-foot-3 guard to attend Hutchinson for a year. Jeter visited Hutchinson this past weekend."Kansas State said they will be watching me, coming to my games to see how I look," Jeter said. "If I get in basketball shape, I think they'll be impressed with my abilities."Jeter would have had to sit out a year if he attended Akron. At Hutchinson, he will play this season."It was hard for me sitting out at Cincinnati, just because I was so used to playing," Jeter said. "I started thinking about if I wanted to sit out another year. I decided not to if I'm going to go back to basketball."

Captain Kangaroo
Maybe next time, CK.How's your softball team faring this season?Hey, who knows...maybe Lance goes a la Vince Hill and changes his mind again? He's already committed to four colleges in the past 12 months (Cincinnati, Akron, Hutchinson and Kansas State). One more and he ties Antonio Gates' record. If he struggles a bit @ Hutchinson JC, and Kansas State backs out, I could still see KD giving him a look.Softball team sits at 4-2. My batting average is somewhere between Matt Domonokos' FG percentage and Bryan Hipsher's 3-point shooting percentage. You playing this summer? MRasor0200
Good to hear you guys have a winning record. The Keg Kickers sit at 6-0 (including four mercy wins). We picked up a big left-handed bat in free agency who hits home runs with astonishing regularity. My batting average sucks too but I do have a grand slam to my credit.
