Coaches Uniform

With every baseball game I watch, one thought always comes to mind. Why do baseball managers wear the same uniforms the player do? It's really a funny sight to watch an old man like Bobby Cox slump onto the field wearing a uniform that is designed for a young athlete. Anyone remember Tommy Lasorda in his? Yikes.Anyhow, since it is a slow summer, should football coaches be required to wear the same uniforms as the players? For the sake of humor, I am voting yes. It would be just too funny.

call me old fashioned, but I prefer to see the head coach in a coat and tie.

I don't think so....I would vote for a coat and tie as well. However, when I see hockey coaches wearing a coat and tie, that seems a bit out of place as well.Whatever....... just tell Belicheck to get rid of that sweatshirt....

I think Basketball coaches should have to wear the player uniforms. Just think how entertaining Rick Majerus would be in shorts and a tank top...

Good one GP!The Lasorda call was great...........and you are right.Ever notice how the trow on mgrs are always just below the knee? They don't buy into the shoe high look.............I vote coat and tie (but then you already know I'm a dinosour and like the Landry look, except for the Fedora)

My feeling is KD would enjoy looking like a former (50s-60s era) NY Knickerbocker coach. Not sure which one (Holtzman?), but I think he would look apropos in a bow tie if given the chance. Keith's a throwback anyway. But we're not throwing him anywhere!
