This football team is a disgrace and the Sports Department at Akron is as bad as I can ever remember it. Only the soccer team is worth a crap. All of these new buildings and new coaches cannot hide the fact that Akron is a joke for college sports. Who is in charge of the place? If you ask me the people steering the ship are the one's who need to get canned. Check out the complaints in this morning's paper. I agree that $12 is too much to pay to see this crappy team. All this football team has been for the last twenty years is a big joke.

What Akron should do is drop this bunch of football losers and focus on basketball. Losing football is never going to be a winner and with a coach Like Keith Dambot Akron could become the next big thing in college basketball. Instead the crazy people running Akron U sports will continue to waste money on this sorry football team. The only thing Akron football does is cause the college embarrassment. The chancellor should fire the people running this department and hire people with big-time basketball expereince to give the team what they need to get good quick.

Hey Chicken Little, the sky is not going to fall on the football program. The fact is the previous staff left the cupboard bare. It will take several seasons before we know if JD can walk the walk or is just another BS artist like LO. What is your story going to be if the hoops program struggles???? Get a life and give the new staff some time.

How can the Beacon print "Your Views" that are completely based on misinfomation ? I understand people being unhappy with their experiance at the Rubber Bowl and they are certainly allowed to express themselves by writing their opinion. BUT, shouldn't someone at the Beacon be responsible and accountable for the content ? The Beacon printed 2 today -- Ouch Ouch -- Thanks Beacon for helping with the attendence cause.

First off, I don't believe general tickets at $12 are out of line with other MAC schools ( 1) Do a little planning and use your GE Card to get $3 off if you are strapped. 2) Wait by the gate, People are usually giving tickets away !!!!). Second, Does anyone believe that a poor old 80 year old alumni was body searched at the gate and ordered to return to his car miles away to take back a bag of M&M's and A bottled water Last week, I took in 3 juice boxes, a coke, crackers, and skittles as snacks for my son and I -- No problem -- I was not padded down and interrogated by security as the "View" contends. Finally, Concessions overpriced I know it's all relative but PLEASE go to an Aeros, Indians or Browns game and get out a little. I bought Hot dogs and Drinks and had no complaints with the bill. Very reasonable -- The U's not getting rich off of concessions !!

I would have hoped that the Beacon would atleast print a factual response after the "View". NOTHING. Thanks but no thanks for this type of support. Did you actually think these "Views" were credible enought o print and would help the Community and University
