zipfan 81 Posted September 7, 2007 Report Posted September 7, 2007 Looked at the roster tonite and unless I am missing something, the younger McKnight is no longer on? Quote
ziptrumpet87 Posted September 7, 2007 Report Posted September 7, 2007 hopefully his name was overlooked somehow! Quote
zipfan 81 Posted September 7, 2007 Author Report Posted September 7, 2007 Now I hear he might be ineligible Quote
Valpo Zip Posted September 7, 2007 Report Posted September 7, 2007 Shouldn't it be formally announced if he quit the team? It is sad how things happen in secret and the fans have to go find out who's missing from the rosters and do their own speculations. Quote
GoZips88 Posted September 7, 2007 Report Posted September 7, 2007 I just sent Rick McFadden a quick e-mail asking about Brett's roster status. We'll see if he's allowed or wants to say anything. "Good" find zipfan 81 - I hope it's just an oversight! Quote
w00t Posted September 7, 2007 Report Posted September 7, 2007 Man this would be awful... it's like our luck with football recruits is spreading to the hardwood. Quote
Zip Watcher Posted September 7, 2007 Report Posted September 7, 2007 A hunch tells me this is not a long term problem. It's my understanding (not exactly current) that he's enrolled at UA and will play for the Zips. No indications that he's left the U or the team. Quote
Captain Kangaroo Posted September 7, 2007 Report Posted September 7, 2007 Man this would be awful... it's like our luck with football recruits is spreading to the hardwood. I don't see that happening. Dambrot is pretty proud of the fact that 11 of the 12 players he's signed thusfar will graduate. A few graduations will be delayed because they're playing pro ball overseas, but all 11 will get a degree. Quote
Zips Win! Posted September 7, 2007 Report Posted September 7, 2007 Talked to him on Sunday. He is still in school. He will be ready to go once the second semester starts.. Quote
blueandgold Posted September 7, 2007 Report Posted September 7, 2007 Talked to him on Sunday. He is still in school. He will be ready to go once the second semester starts.. So he will miss the first half of the season then? Quote
ziptrumpet87 Posted September 7, 2007 Report Posted September 7, 2007 can he possibly redshirt? it may not hurt us with all the talent we have this year. Quote
Zip Watcher Posted September 7, 2007 Report Posted September 7, 2007 After hearing at the golf outing how big this kid was .. it seems he might be the odd man out numbers wise at the forward spot .. seems that might be a possibility (redshirting that is). Quote
Buckzip Posted September 7, 2007 Report Posted September 7, 2007 Even if he is redshirting, he should still be listed on the roster. A redshirt isn't determined until after the season.Look at the football team. All fo the freshman that made the grades are listed. Many will redshirt. However they are still on the roster. Quote
BirdZip Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 Talked to him on Sunday. He is still in school. He will be ready to go once the second semester starts.. Be careful about believing this. I heard from a very reliable source that this guy is a 35-year old who lives at home with his parents... Quote
