OSU fans bring in a lot of business. Bartender told me they got a LOT of calls the day before asking if they would have the game on. The only place what I would have a real problem with is the Winking Lizard in fairlawn, because thats where they have teh zips pregame. Grow up and get over it already. Most people are OSU fans and I hate to tell you they aren't A-hole front running losers like you guys keep saying. This stupid crying keeps coming up over and over again. We can't even sell out a ticket allotment for the game or bring 20k people to a home game and you wonder why the bars are 90% OSU. You do realize they were a power before most of your parents were born? Why would people just all of the sudden become Akron fans? You think they should because they "live" in Akron? Please. To have their wait-staff in OSU gear is uncalled for. I hope someone at UA has made some phone calls regarding this topic.I also heard that the UA-subsidized buses did a nice job of transporting several OSU fans in their OSU gear down to Columbus. After we had checked in at the JAR, we were headed out to the bus when some guy came in wearing an OSU t-shirt. I firmly made the comment to him that he was wearing the wrong color, which got me a couple of high 5's. Also, when we at the Fawcett Center for the pre-game the AK-Rowdies did a wonderful job of embarrassing 2 or 3 people that had traveled on the buses that wore scarlett & red. They will get pounded this week by Washington and by Wisconsin and PSU, hell, Can't may even have a shot at them. I've said it before, the reason everyone likes OSU is because they win. It's easy to root for a winner! Your information is effortlessly pumped to you via your local newspaper. It frustrates me too, but when they start getting pounded, those fans will quickly jump to another winning team. A few of them will stick with OSU, but most of them will jump, and they'll jump again and again to whoever is winning. If i remember correctly, last year for the OU Akron game all the servers were wearing Akron stuff and they had a DJ and had contests and Akron threw up an EGG. That is the problem sometimes, when everyone gets behind Akron we lose. Listen, I grew up in columbus and played for Akron, still went to OSU Akron game wearing my Blue and Gold with Pride. It just takes time, you know there are going to be front runners, that is the nature of college football. Until we consitantly do well, like OSU, we are going to struggle.
