sgm405
Frye is the #3, emergency QB. And I think the only way that changes is an injury happening to Hasselbeck or Wallace. He comes in as # 3 because he doesn't know anything about the system. Seattle runs their program the right way. Developing players and not just tossing them (ala Cleveland) to the dogs after they have a 60% grasp of a system. You are such a tool. No...Charlie is number 3 because Hasselbeck and Wallace are both better than him.

If troll = being realistic, then yes...I'm a troll Even the people on the Seahawks boards aren't as smart as you about their quarterbacks. Many of them speculate about what to do with Wallace. hmmm... Well, they have:Matt Hasselbeck-------------------31 years old(Two-time Pro Bowler; One of the top 10 best QB's in the game)Seneca Wallace-------------------27 years old2006 - 82-141, 58%, 927 yds, 8 TD, 7 INT; 18 rush attempts, 117 yds(Just signed to a three year, $5.4 M extension in last month)Charlie Frye-------------------26 years old2006 - 252-392, 64%, 2454 yds, 10 TD, 17 INTThat's the situation...you honestly think Frye is ever going to get on the field in Seattle? Even if he did beat Wallace (who I believe is better) or if Wallace switched positions, he'd never beat out Hasselbeck. His only hope is to become a better QB this year and try to latch on with someone else as a backup next year. I think we've seen the last of "Charlie Frye - NFL Starter". Dr Z
you guys were predicting that he would get cut Wonder if Charlie would have been better off getting cut last week?I wonder if they talked to Charlie before they traded him and asked if he wanted cut? Apollo Creed
I agree sgm. Charlie Frye will never start an NFL game again, and most likely will be out of the league in 3 years. Nobody wants a guy who can't tell his team apart from the opponents. He went from Charlie Frye: Starting NFL QB to Charlie Frye: Unemployed guy with white trash mustache. Big Zip
There have been a lot of quarterbacks in this league that didn't start out well. I'd like to believe that a quarterback in the right offense has a better opportunity than in one where he is forced to play a style he is uncomfortable in. We witnessed this here in Cleveland when they tried to make Jeff Garcia a drop back passer. I'm not sure Charlie will ever be a starter in this league again, but I do believe he was picked up by a team that has a coach with a proven track record with QBs and whose judgement I place above those on this board who essentially have called Charlie a hack. Not to mention, I think a team with a running game and west coast style offense is a better fit for Charlie. I'll be rooting for him in Seattle and wish him the best. Even though I'm a Browns season ticket holder -- part of me would love to see him end up starting the game against Cleveland and blowing them out. I agree. This is why I have resisted temptation to continuously argue in this thread (and the other similar threads). I think it just plays into the hands of the anti-frye crowd that just wants to keep going at it endlessly.

You can speak like you are some sorta expert, but that doesn't make you right.""Wow, I missed that kewl trick you did with the crystal ball where you saw Frye wallow in obscurity as a backup for 10 years.""back in troll mode eh?"Yes Zen, it appears that you hate arguing about this. You'd rather drop 3 different pot shots at people who disagree.
