Unfortunately I will be out of town. The only drawback is the date...won't a lot of communities have their trick-or-treat Sunday night between 4-7. I know mine is. Zip Watcher
I think I'm going to try and make it. I was able to make the alumni game last week (I do have some notes that I'll post one of these days) & this should be pretty cool.
2005PANTHER
Did any of the seniors from last year participate in the alum game October 9th?
Z-Pouch
Great Event !! I hope that this becomes a permanent part of the program. The marketing group did a first class job in organizing and creating a fun environment for everyone. One of these times, fans are actually going to show up and repay you for your efforts. Please keep working at it, it will happen. The first thing we noticed was a totally different atmosphere with the team. Players were actually smiling and having fun . This team seems very confident and undoubtedly will be playing a different type of ball from the Hip days. A team with a personality It's been a long time. Difficult to predict until they start playing some of those cupcakes early but there are a lot of reasons to be optimistic. We might just sneak up on a few teams. Quite a few new faces on the team. A number of them look to have game, I'm not sure who some are -- not listed on the roster -- but it wouldn't surprise me if someone unknown sees some playing time during the year. Short Highlights - Everyone's in great shape -- Especially Wood, Futch and Travis. - Peterson looks fully recovered from last year and in shape. - If Joyce shoots the 3 like that alll year, look out. - Bubba can shoot and is taller then I expected. Kids got some moves too -- He's no Faulkner -- may be more then just the shooter everyone thinks he is. And he's thinner then David, Alot thinner. - Milum can jump = Dunk over Wood in the SD contest was incredible - Middleton needs to work on his shot but handles the ball nicely. - Unknown guard can also knock down the 3's -- Anyone catch this guys name ? Not Dials but the other guard -- I'd be surprised if he didnt see the court. Most refreshing of all though, was the new attitude and style that Dambrot has brought in. It could be a lot of fun in JAR sooner then we think.
zipfan maybe
I think the unknown guard you are talking about is Nick Goddard from Wadsworth, was in the 3 point contest with Joyce? He can flat out shoot and should see some playing time....
