GP1 Posted September 23, 2007 Report Posted September 23, 2007 http://www.gozips.com/downloads1/24909.htm...800&SPSID=47122Most people say that when two teams are closely matched, turnovers will be the difference. We had two, they had four. Zips win! Quote
Quickzips Posted September 23, 2007 Report Posted September 23, 2007 The other stat that sticks out there.Edelman: 8 of 21. Can't really doesn't have much in terms of recievers. Quote
skip-zip Posted September 23, 2007 Report Posted September 23, 2007 We won the turnover battle at Ohio State, and that didn't matter either. But I do believe that the turnover right before halftime was key to keeping us in the game. I was impressed when I heard Edelman's poor passing stats. That was obviously a big difference for me. I have to tell you guys, I really thought we were going to lose that game for 3 quarters. If a team ever willed themselves to win, this is one of those games. The John Mackey injury really has me upset. I'm going to enjoy this. This was a huge win for the Zips' JD era program. And I got my payback for having to witness them kicking our butts at their place last year. Quote
RowdyZip Posted September 23, 2007 Report Posted September 23, 2007 One more thought...all the bitching over the last year and a half about placekicking...it really seems like igor is coming around. Who would've guessed we'd be scoring in 7s and 3s instead of 6s and 0s? If we dont watch out, i'm gonna start EXPECTING us to make kicks. Quote

Is that a printing error where it says he kicked a 43 yeard FG? Quote

Buckzip Posted September 23, 2007 Report Posted September 23, 2007 It looks like we have found our kicker. He is only a freshman too. This looks good for the future. Quote
