johnnyzip84
I see the dude who wrote this was probably (mistakenly) swayed by the Beacon's incorrect caption of Paris McNeal "hoisting" the wagon wheel. Granted, I will allow that the whole team actually earned this right, but I can't help but think the error is being propagated.
Dr Z
Here's the gist. 1. Ball State2. BG3. Akron4. Can't5. Ohio6. Buffalo7. Eastern8. Central9. Western10. Toledo11. Miami O12. N. Illinois13. TempleHere’s to you, Carlton Jackson: two weeks ago you’re fighting for playing time, now you’re hoisting the Wagon Wheel after defeating your MAC rival. Well done! On a day where more college football teams won games when getting outgained by 100 or more yards than I can ever remember, Akron got maybe the most improbable win of all. Jackson was pretty bad, completing just 7 of 20 passes for 99 yards, and the team was outgained by Can't 375-245, but the defense showed plenty of moxie, forcing turnovers on three of Can't’s last four drives to secure the win. The linebackers didn’t handle Eugene Jarvis very well, but this was a big-time performance from one of the MAC’s best D’s

skip-zip
The best news here is that Miami is nose-diving. Let's face it, we'll need to win a road game or two to have a chance to win the MAC East. And I thought previously that Buffalo was our best chance. But now, Miami is looking like a good opportunity as well.
ZachTheZip
I forgot, Here's our OOC opponents Sagarins as well. The better they do, the better we look.123 Army A = 57.80 1 3 68.07( 71) 0 1 | 0 1 | 53.96 136 | 61.06 105 4 Ohio State A = 93.17 4 0 66.76( 80) 0 0 | 0 0 | 92.01 4 | 93.85 572 Indiana A = 68.81 3 1 54.74( 158) 0 0 | 0 0 | 68.16 72 | 68.88 7031 Connecticut A = 79.26 4 0 58.24( 137) 0 0 | 0 0 | 79.48 29 | 78.45 34Connecticut's ranking suprises me. It seems that the Sagarins favor overall record very heavily this year.Here's all the 1-A conferences: 1 PAC-10 (A) = 80.66 80.83 ( 2) 10 2 SOUTHEASTERN (A) = 80.57 81.07 ( 1) 12 3 BIG EAST (A) = 78.18 77.28 ( 4) 8 4 BIG 12 (A) = 77.27 77.59 ( 3) 12 5 ATLANTIC COAST (A) = 75.81 75.52 ( 6) 12 6 BIG TEN (A) = 75.69 75.99 ( 5) 11 7 MOUNTAIN WEST (A) = 71.20 71.28 ( 7) 9 8 WESTERN ATHLETIC (A) = 62.80 63.96 ( 8) 9 9 I-A INDEPENDENTS (A) = 62.73 62.68 ( 9) 4 10 CONFERENCE USA (A) = 62.33 62.30 ( 10) 12 11 MID-AMERICAN (A) = 61.43 61.12 ( 11) 13 15 SUN BELT (A) = 56.42 56.95 ( 12) 8Big Ten's having a really bad year, and the MAC really needs to step it up. Stop playing so many games against the Big 10 and start playing C-USA teams. I have no doubt that the MAC would beat them head to head, but they always look better on paper because there is not enough matchups for a direct comparison. We should schedule teams just above where we are, and then move up slightly every year and start slowly climbing the ladder.
skip-zip
In response to uakronkid's data......I hate to bring this subject up again, since most of us hate Can't so much, but this is why a Can't win over OSU would be an ENORMOUS boost for all of us.But with that said, I still would have to be ill to root for Can't. UNI-53 and SIU-65.CONGRATS ON BEATING CANT STATE!!! You're an idiot. Every single one of your posts try's to slide in some point about YSU being on par with Akron (which is an absolute slap in the face to any Zip fan) and then you try to cover your ass at the end of the post with some stupid compliment. If I was a moderator I would ban you, because you bring absolutely nothing to this board. If Akron played YSU it would be a five touchdown win. Your football program is small-time, your school, city, and campus are hideous, and you aren't on our level or anywhere close to it. Stop trolling and get lost.
