Division I-A schools Akron and Temple are interested in Whitty, as well as Division I-AA power New Hampshire, and Ivy League schools Harvard, Princeton and Pennsylvania."I was worried about the injury at first," Whitty said. "But it's not like an ankle or a knee, something that lingers. I definitely still want to take a shot at Penn State. We will see what happens, but I've always set my goals high."
Wow, what a conundrum... do you take the chance to play in the NFL by walking on, or go play at an Ivy League school where your degree is probably much more respected? If JD can land this one, there shouldn't be any problem with academics.

This guy isn't all that smart. He already failed Economics 101. Let's see, a paid foreducation at any one of a half dozen excellent schools verses having daddy pay histuition at Penn State. For what? To maybe dress for home games. Stand around in the miserable rainHappy Valley is famous for? Verses actually playing for one of these "lesser" schools.Kid is really bright. Kind of like that light bulb in the back of your refrigerator
