OK, I've got to gripe somewhere about this. Did anyone watch ESPN this morning for highlights....there weren't any....more on why later.First off, I have to say Kalamazoo is the most confusing town I have EVER been in. I've been to Paris, and that is a damn confusing town, but not as much as Kalamazoo. We got TOTALLY lost several times and WTF with the one way streets.....they all go the same direction!!! Take a side road to get where you want to go, and it dead ends. No signs anywhere about how to get where. We got lost AFTER the game because the bus to the parking lot picks people up at a completely different spot than where they drop you off! I think we, and some other lost Akron fans got on the last bus of the night!Ok, so why no highlights. Well, IMO, the local TV station just left thinking it was a win. I know the instant replay cameras were there, but I watched the local Kalamazoo news after the game, and they had highlights up to about 1/2 way through the 4th, then...nothing........ The announcer tried to describe the ending but botched it up. The game was so late, and everyone else in the country was so confused that it didn't make any of the national shows. I saw the ESPN Top 10 for yesterday this morning at the hotel...no Akron. In fact, we weren't even MENTIONED in the broadcast. By FAR the most bizzare turn of events in college football yesterday....but typical MAC coverage. Boy am I glad I went to the game!

I was at a party and happened to catch the last few minutes of the Bucyeyes game. The scroll across the bottom had the score WMU 38 Akron 33. I went to bed thinking we had lost. Imagine my surprise when I arose this morning and started reading the posts here on the Nation. i actually had to have my wife pinch me to make sure I wasn;t dreaming and I had to go Zips site to confirm what I was reading. Too bad we didn't get any coverage on any of the ESPN channels.

Rifle...I don't think there were any highlights because the game wasn't on TV. Someone would have had to shoot the game, edit it, then uplink it via satellite.

The entire game (including the final play) was broadcast on GoZips.com's ZipsZone. We have a video feed to most games now. It is stored somewhere in the UA net.

Didn't know that.Do they do it the right way or just put one mini cam up on sticks on top of the press box?Is it a multi-camera shoot just for the Web?

It wasn't just one camera atop the pressbox, it was a game "production" with (WMU) announcers. I'm really starting to wonder if Western is just sitting on the film out of embarrassment & sour grapes. I'm sure they didn't want that ending to be running on TV and the internet all weekend.

Okay, so what you are telling us is, it was the fault of the Akron Athletic Department that this game didn't get any national attention, not WMU's?Why am I not surprised by this?

Was the full-game production just for the Web?Too bad no broadcast outlets would pick it up...at least local cable access.I'm skeptical of the camera work on such productions though.I wonder if we'll really get a good shot of the final play?

I watched the video on goZips. It wasn't bad. They even did some replays. The only problem was that my screen was about 3" by 3". I sat with my peepers about 8 inches from the screen. A local radio station did the play by play. At the end they kept calling for a review by the refs. They thought his knee was down before the lateral. But all the refs ran off the field and then boom, the feed ended. I'm sure the company that sold the feed to goZips have a copy of the game and probably the rights. I did see it on ESPN2 today but the camera work wasn't very good. I also know that the team saw the video yesterday at films but I'm sure they're more concerned with their game this week than getting the video out to the fans.

I would imagine the team has their own shooter up there. They (team shooters) shoot for different things that they do for TV.Also, I'm sure they're much more interested in the Temple game too. However, maybe one day it'll get out there...and it could be better than the Web feed since it probably was shot at a wider angle.I can imagine what the low-budget production tape looks like...
