UA1987
For those of you traveling to Buffalo, I recommend dinner at the Anchor Bar in downtown. This is the origin of Buffalo wings. Get an order of the hot wings and a side of their chicken alfredo with a pint or two. The game, a trip to the Falls , wings, beer, and the peak leaf color should make for a nice weekend. TrueBlue
UB Fan here, and trust me, the Anchor Bar is not the best place to get wings. If you're going to be downtown, go to The Pearl Street Grill It's got an in house brewery and a cool atmosphere. If you're staying near campus, Duff's has some of the best wings in Buffalo and is only a few minutes away. If you have any other questions feel free to ask.Good luck on SaturdayGO BULLS! skip-zip
I have to be honest with you guys.I've driven through Buffalo several times in my life, on the way to Niagara Falls, and I don't dare get off the highway. My usual thinking is that "I better get gas on the turnpike, so that I don't have to get off of the highway in Buffalo".It reminds me too much of Cleveland. Enough said. How far from downtown? From the Sleep in, take a left to get back on Niagara Falls Blvd (rt 62)Take Niagara falls Blvd up to Sheridan Dr (324)Follow Sheridan to Millersport Hwy intersection, Duff's will be right on the corner (big red DUFF'S sign on the side) it'll be hard to miss.^^ that trip will take ~2min so nice hotel choice :)Downtown will be a little more of a drive, probably ~15-20min +/- given traffic. Will you be going to the Soccer game the night before? UA1987
Hey, these tips all sound like fun true blue. Now I was thinking that it may be fun too to castrate a bull outside your stadium prior to the game as part of our pre-game festivities. Do you know any ranches or farms in your area that may be able to help out?Go Akron.
