GP1 Posted October 29, 2007 Report Posted October 29, 2007 http://www.gozips.com/SportSelect.dbml?DB_...amp;SPSID=47195I've been saying for years that regardless of what our wives tell us, size matters. I just took a minute to look at our players and we seem to have a taller group than in the past. I'm encouraged by that. The forward position also looks much more athletic than in the past.I like the Zips chances this year, but I also liked the football team's chances this year as well. Quote
GoZips88 Posted October 29, 2007 Report Posted October 29, 2007 I LOVE our size this year and I'm really looking forward to the basketball season. I'm going to seek therapy if they treat me like the football team has this year! :chair:What do you guys think the chances are that Swiech will redshirt this year? Do Wood and McKnight help out at center with Bardo or do we end up playing two freshmen at center in Bardo and Swiech and leave the forwards at the forward position? Quote
ziptrumpet87 Posted October 29, 2007 Report Posted October 29, 2007 I'd love to see Sweich and BMcK both redshirted. BMcK's already losing part of the season due to the paperwork screw up anyway. It'd be nice to extend their eligibility since we are losing lots of experience at the end of this season. Quote
nbs95 Posted October 30, 2007 Report Posted October 30, 2007 If Swiech gets Red redshirted. I will not be attending any games. I could not handle the disappointment. The shame of the thought. Quote

ziptrumpet87 Posted October 30, 2007 Report Posted October 30, 2007 sorry about the spelling my comments about redshirting had more to do with hoping that both new big men (Swiech and Bardo) don't finish elegibility at the same time and leave us with an experience valley four years from now. I'm sure JD's got that on his radar, but staggering their elegibility just helps the program over the long term IMHO. Quote
