Something tells me he'll take over that rover spot vacated by Mackey. No inside information here, just a hunch. I wouldn't expect him on the sidelines for real long.
I was thinking the same. He'd make an ideal rover. He's big (6-4, 205 - prolly 215 by next season) and aggressive. Also athletic enough to cover in the backfield. He may start next year.

For those that don't know, that is our D-Coordinator's son. He is slated to be a Safety when he comes here, but they are thinking, because of his age, that he'll likely put on 20-30 pounds and become a linebacker. He'll likely be way too big to play rover, if he still has some growing left in him.

yep..wonder how playing for dad will work out? this could be a kid with the speed and size to be a rush linebacker..

He seems to not be bothered by playing for his dad, since he turned down a chance to play in Hawaii for 4/5 years to stay in Akron. Of course, our facilities may have helped sway him, but I would take his choice of Akron to mean that playing for his father could be a really good thing for us.
