Lol these two videos were all I could think about...

I'm not sure how well you can train a kangaroo, but I know they are usually pretty mild mannered. In the zoo they let people walk around and pet them, which was pretty cool. I'd love to see three kangaroos sprint across the field chasing after Zippy.

i would like to see a section for students and then a designated section for just rowdies. because come on, i'm tired of seeing students (even some rowdies) in the rowdies section who don't even pay attention to the game. rather they're more interest with their friends and socializing. what's the point of showing up? if your not rowdie for the entire game, get out of the rowdies section.sorry, may be mean, but seeing sh*t like that gets irritating.

well to be fair some of the cheers are kind of lame. I mean the "you can't do that" cheer is used all over the country, by every school and it just comes across as lazy. They need to think of some new and unique cheers to start. I joined the rowdies my freshman year, and I was really disappointed. I went to a high school where we had hundreds of students in our cheering section, our cheering section would fill up 3 sections at the rubber bowl. I know sometimes when I was with the rowdies there would be 2 different cheers going on, i mean come on, thats just sad! You want people to get involved and make the rowdies great, that needs to start at the top. Make a better cheering section, and people will cheer! If we're in there and 5 different cheers are going on, ya we can't go along with all of them. I'm hoping that it gets better at the Info, but who knows....ps idk who does all the canada stuff when buffalo comes to town, but buffalo is not in canada and that really doesn't make any sense?? they're not canadians...the Z-I-P-S is a direct rip off of O-H-I-O, and I hate OSHWHO so that needs to stop tooi'm sorry but it wasn't a complete attack of the rowdies, but you need to know why people don't want to get involved...stealing cheers and lame antics are not going to get people excited....

As a Rowdie (a rowdie every year it's been in existence as well) let me say that i agree with both of you. The truth is the cheers are pretty lame at times, but then again at least we are paying attention. The biggest problem i see is that the Rowdies have this need to be almost high school like in attitude. You have no idea how many times i've seen a freshman Rowdie turn around and go "oh my god, that's innappropriate" or "shhh, you cant say that!" when people are trying to heckle. Honestly, when i was in highschool at basketball games, we heckled and said things far worse than what most Rowdies seem to think is bad. I mean come on this is COLLEGE basketball. The students are supposed to be ridiculous, many are supposed to be hammered drunk, and you are SUPPOSED to be extremely cruel to the other team. Profanity isn't even that bad as long as you dont go overboard, it's COLLEGE.Now that being said, i would love to see the Rowdies adopt more of a "Northside" (of the JAR) Rowdies attitude. Speedo guys, giant hands, extreme drunken heckling, getting opposing players to jaw at them/flip them off, etc... is what it's all about. That really is the only college basketball/football atmosphere i see at Zips games these days.

vmd... all I gotta say to you is STFUYes, the buffalo's in canada thing is stupid, but theres so much more to that chant than you'll ever know. Hell, I don't even remember most of the story behind it.As far as our chants go, I dont care if our chants are your standard chants. I just want unison among all the students and not a half-assed effort from 80% of the students. As long as we get as many students there as possible who will at least make noise the entire game, regardless of what that noise is, I am fine with it. In fact, the Rowdies have a handful of unique chants that we do. Maybe if you were paying more attention to what we were doing rather than what we're not doing...In response to your bashing of the Z-I-P-S and ZI-PS chants... do you HONESTLY thing OSU is the ONLY school that does those chants? Seriously do you? Becuase there are COUNTLESS other schools that do the same thing. Penn State does something very similar with their "WE ARE - PENN STATE". When a chant is used across the country (or around the world for that matter) its not copying off anyone, it's just using a good chant to use at a game.So please... do us all a favor and get off your high horse there and stop giving the Rowdies a bad name. I have my complaints with the Rowdies, as would anyone, but those students who actually SHOW UP to every game and give it their all are some of the best in the conference.

The student section will wrap arond the south end of the stadium running from 20 to goal line on both sides and the grass hillside. The band will be sitting next to the student section on the East side so we're playing right in the visiting teams ears.

I went to the webcam bookmark that I had been using, and I got the 404 error message as well. On that page at the top, there is a link for webcams. They have a link for the Infocision webcams on this page, and I used it, and was able to access the webcam. Does anyone know what they are going to put around the field on the concrete "box" surrounding it. Are they going to just paint it, use blue & gold padding, use pictures, faux brick?The Browns used all kinds of colorful pictures for a while= I hated it. Now they just have brown padding. Looks nice and simple.Also, though I'm sure we will see "Akron" & "Zips" in the endzones, I would love to see the old school diamond pattern in alternating blue & gold.

Hmm marching band area...someone should start a thread about that...oh wait You will then pass through a sliding glass door to the state-of-the-art roller coaster. While racing along 1200 feet of twisted metal you will be taken through the stadium while robots rub your feet and feed you popcorn...all while having a great view of the game!!!
