zipster44278
Finally working Zips fans get a break. going by last seasons schedule thursday's evening games would be as follows. #2 WMU vs winner of #7 vs #10 at 7PM and # 3 UA vs winner of #6 vs #11 at 9:30. Lets not assume a victory yet but that would set up a 9:30 friday game with winner of #2 vs # 7/10. But who cares about times. I know we'd be there if we were playing at noon. zipdiehard
According to the MAC website the schedule is:Thursday, March 13 No. 2 Western Michigan vs. No. 7/10 Winner, TBA Livestats Recap Box Quotes/Notes No. 3 Akron vs. No. 6/11 Winner, TBA Livestats Recap Box Quotes/Notes No. 1 Can't State vs. No. 8/9 Winner, TBA Livestats Recap Box Quotes/Notes No. 4 Seed vs. No. 5/12 Winner, TBA Livestats Recap Box Quotes/No Going by this, we have the 2nd afternoon game. This would sense as it would give the #1 seed the "primetime" game on Thursday night.

skip-zip
Zipdiehard....your Thursday schedule can't be right, unless they've made a serious change from last year. We were the #2 last year, and played an evening game. Yet, you show the #2 seed this year playing an early afternoon game.

zipboy
They change each year depending on who is seeded where. My guess is they will want a big draw for the night so Can't will get the 7 PM slot. We would then get the noon or 2:30 slot. Since Akron would draw better than WMU, we get the 2:30 slot so more fans can make it down?
Marty McFly
Central Michigan needed both Ohio and Miami to lose, and right now, Miami is beating up on BG. That means that CMU as sealed up the #6 seed.If Ohio wins, they are #4 seed, Miami #5. Assuming that Miami beats BG (they are up 18 with 5 min to go), they could move to the #4 seed with an OU loss. The #11 seed is still up in the air. As of right now, Northern Illinois (3-11) is #11, Buffalo is #12 (3-12). An NIU win OR Buffalo lose gives them the #11 seed. Only way that Buffalo could move from #12 to #11 would be a win over Ohio, coupled with an NIU win at Eastern Michigan. Both games are at 2 pm.That being said, looks like Akron's quarterfinal match up will be against two of the four teams that beat them in MAC play. Central beat the Zips 65-64 on Jan. 26, while Northern beat Akron 88-78 on Feb. 12.Does this concern anyone?
ziptrumpet87
Does this concern anyone?Nope. "Neutral" court with a bunch of Rowdies should make the difference. Plus there would be the added incentive of avenging the ending of the streak if we play NIU.

With Dials and Middleton looking healthier and playing better and Wood getting better and better each game I'm much less concerned. Plus, the loses to those teams SHOULD just serve as motivation for a little payback.I'm more concerned with the style of game we play than anything else. Agree or disagree with the statement that we live and die by the 3 ball, the fact of the matter is that when the 3's aren't falling we struggle to win games. That's not exactley a recipe for winning 3 games in 3 days. We're going to have to utilize our depth a lot over the course of the tournament. If we're gonna rely on Dials, Cedrick and Wood to carry us for 3 straight days it's gonna be tough. The McKnights, Bardo, McNees, Linhart, Roberts, Quade and Conyers are each going to have to step up at some point in time next weekend and take the load off of those 3. I just looked and Eastern holds tiebreaker with their win over Western Michigan. So, if that happens - Central losing/Eastern winning. Eastern jumps to the #6 seed
