The Buchtelite published a story today about a Manny's March against eminent domain. http://media.www.buchtelite.com/media/stor...tmlemaileditionThis is getting old and this is getting ridiculous! Hey moron, just move across the street already! Good-freaking-grief! Just shut up and move! The U is already giving you more $$$ than your gross little dive is worth! Take the $$$ and open a far nicer joint across the street! Good-freaking-grief! He says he just "wants to be a part of the university." Well, as Lois Griffin often replies to Peter Griffin's dimwitted antics, "What?!" It's a tragic comedy that the U even had to use eminent domain on the crap located on Exchange Street! Those owners should have been counting their lucky stars that someone wanted to take their CRAP property off their hands! If Manny was really pulling for the further advancement of the U and city of Akron then he should have been jumping for joy back in August when The Info was announced. Hey Manny, Mr. Rocketscientist, I'll say it once again, slowly, "JUST... MOVE... ACROSS... THE... STREET...!"

I think that the campus community should boycott his business. Then he will beg the university to buy it for way less than $1M
This would require the students to actually care about their athletic programs and what is happening on their campus. In general, I don't think this is the case.

he wants to be part of the university? i gaurantee if the u of a offered him 10 million he would move in a heartbeat and care less about eminat domain.im sorry to say that most things in life revole aroound cash.maye not directly, but indirectly usually everthing in life somehow involves $$$.peole have high standards, but will break them for the right price usually.this is one of them.there are alott of things to protest about how life is unfair.getting a million dollars is not one of them.

it will be interesting to see how many do this "march"
Anybody see if this happened?
It did. I was at the baseball game today catching some rays and I happened to look behind me and see the group marching. They were holding a few signs, but weren't making any noise at all and weren't making a scene out of it - I wouldn't have even known that they were marching back there had I not happened to turn around. It was pretty uneventful... which was nice. I'd say there were about 30 of them. They weren't causing any trouble; they're probably just friends of Manny's. He's the one who should be ashamed of himself.

There is an article concerning the march in today's ABJ. The article states that there were about 45 protest marchers. Last night I took a guess at about 30 marchers. 45 is probably more accurate. I wasn't paying much attention... there was a baseball game being played! Fortunately it really didn't look as if anyone else was paying them any mind either.http://www.ohio.com/news/top_stories/17937009.html

The funny thing is that the people protesting the building of a new Football Stadium got more pictures in the ABJ than the actual football team has had in the past 10 years!
One of the many reasons as a former resident of Akron. I'm always firing off letters to them about there so called coverage. First the Jackson coverage (I still have serious doubts about what he claiming) and now Manny. It's like the ABJ rather be negative as possible about Akron
