GoZips Posted January 4, 2005 Report Posted January 4, 2005 A tip of the hat to "CICCAR", an EMU fan for the following link. Here is a link tracking all Div.IA 2005 scheduling ... 2005 Div.I-A Football Schedules Quote
Wally B Posted January 4, 2005 Report Posted January 4, 2005 Next year looks GrrreeEEAT! Packing the house for ARMY, and Kant-read Kant-write Can't State, would put us right at the 75,000 mark early. No more guessing games! It's possible. ? is how can we get this done??? thoughts! 1) offer attendees a chance to win MAC or BCS Bowl tickets! Hell, that could draw some peolpe from the OSU tv band waggon. 2) Promotional tickets to winning local high schools (buy 1 get 1 sort of thing) 3) Everything those great people in the zips marketing dept. want to do. or....... Guest Zipster Jr Posted January 4, 2005 Report Posted January 4, 2005 How about getting corporate sponsors to purchase disounted tickets for Army game and then give them away to local military families and servicemen -- have a special halftime ceremony honoring all the services and their families. Promote it thru local military establishments -- Make it a real "Freedom Jam." Get the Beacon and Local radio behind it and it could really be something. Invite military bands. Maybe we can get a fly over? I've seen the huge US Flag covering the field before -- awesome. Fireworks? National anthem...the game might interrupt the celebration of patriotism. Quote
Hilltopper Posted January 4, 2005 Report Posted January 4, 2005 Zipster I think that would be a great idea. Perhaps we could get the Golden Knights demo team or a military flyover. Check out these links. October 1 means a better chance of good weather, which helps with the crowd. http://www2.acc.af.mil/airdemo/ http://www.usarec.army.mil/hq/GoldenKnights/ Quote
