Quickzips Posted July 9, 2008 Report Posted July 9, 2008 On the Cavs Summer League Roster.http://www.nba.com/cavaliers/news/summer_league_080708.htmlGee, ya think the Cavs are desperate to keep LeBron happy? In all seriousness best of luck to Romeo and Dru. Doubt they have much of a chance at making a roster, but it's still kinda cool to see 'em on there. Quote
zen Posted July 9, 2008 Report Posted July 9, 2008 If you put together a summer league team mostly for fun and experience and to give your draft picks some action, why go hunting around for able bodies to complete the roster when LeBron has connections with players who are more than capable. :)Too bad those games are all out in Vegas. GoZips Posted July 9, 2008 Report Posted July 9, 2008 Remember ... Dru and Rome are both paid professional players. This gig augments their income, gains them experience and gives NBA scouts a chance to check their progress. As I write this WHLO 640AM sports was bleating about Robert Traylor was the only experienced professional on the Cavs Summer team. Ignorance abounds. Quote
Captain Kangaroo Posted July 10, 2008 Report Posted July 10, 2008 SGM405 posted a reply to go Zips...I responded to SGM405...and my post was entered under the name SGM405 instead of Captain Kangaroo? I can't figure it out?SGM - don't take it personal...just some goofy glitch. The gist if SGM's post was "Are you serious...Dru Joyce has no business being on any NBA team, summer or otherwise."My response was "Who would you rather have - Eric Snow or Dru?"
