ZachTheZip Posted June 29, 2011 Report Posted June 29, 2011 Some players are transferring out of BCS programs, as they do every year. Ianello would do well to try and attract some of them to Akron. If he wants BCS guys, this is the way to get them, not wasting effort trying to recruit above his capabilities. WR DJ Williamson from Michigan was released to transfer, but doesn't have a destination yet. This is definitely one to keep an eye on. FB Fred Smith from Michigan State. Could Oren Wilson help convince him to come here? LB Ryan Donahue and RB Gary Douglass from Maryland are available. LS Andrew Tallman from Miami. QB Cody Green from Nebraska. TE Jarrett Brown from Oklahoma. DT Brandon Ware from Penn State. RB Zach Brown from Wisconsin. OL Kevin Revis from Tennessee. PK Jonathan Linkenheimer from Purdue. Picking up one or two of these guys could make a big difference for the team. Quote
Dr Z Posted June 29, 2011 Report Posted June 29, 2011 I'm thinking of a number right now, I believe it was Blutarksky's grade point average also... Quote

skip-zip Posted June 30, 2011 Report Posted June 30, 2011 I'm thinking of a number right now, I believe it was Blutarksky's grade point average also... I'm thinking....what are the chances any of these guys transferred out with aspirations of offering their skills to one of the worst teams in one of the worst conferences. And have to wait a year to even do that? Quote
