  1. I personally would love to see a zone every now and then...would really help on stopping driving guards. By the way, can we all appreciate how good Zeke Marshall was now?

  2. Hopefully, this game is a wake-up call for the coaching staff to make some sort of adjustmemts. Whether it is going to zone or going under screens to try to stay in front of defenders on the perimeter. What they are doing isn't working. True, they are leading the nation in 3 point defense, and once again held a (good shooting) team well below its season average. But that doesn't matter if teams are getting to the rim at will. I've never seen a team that gets shredded like this. And it's not just the good teams. The horrible teams like Coppin State and SCSU guards also abused this defense by getting to the rim.

  3. If the Ball State game is on a Saturday with a favorable weather forecast, you should consider traveling because their tailgating scene is pretty impressive. We had a good time there in 2014.

  6. You've been around for a year. Time to peel off the rookie stripes.

  7. Completely agreed .......... But I am guessing one more year of "more than usual" hole filling But I don't think it will be half of the class And I was referring more to the norm being how quiet the staff is regarding commits and that the list is usually shorter at this point that the other schools ............. But I am still a rookie UA guy LOL

  8. You aren't wrong. We are not recruiting well enough to rely on high school talent, so we are still going to be heavy on transfers and JUCO's. Look at this years class. It is mostly high school and JUCO kids with absolutely zero offers. That is frightening. We need almost every player to be a diamond in the rough or we lose ground on talent compared to our peers. Not only this, we lose 1, 2 and sometimes 3 years of having a guy in our system with this current situation that we have with all the JUCO's and transfers. I am still not fully convinced that we have guys ready to step in and replace the ones we lose this year. If this is the case recruiting won't improve whatsoever and the trend of bringing in the 1 or 2 year mercenaries continues. And remember folks..our schedule was a cakewalk. We still have only beaten 2 +.500 teams in 4 years. I really don't know where the talent level is on this team.

  11. Good call. Thank you. Once again, nice broadcast by ASN. Good to see some other talent in the MAC. The loss may actually have been good for this team in the long run. Let's see how they respond on Friday in Toledo.

  12. I didn't expect to win this one so no biggie for me. CMU is no joke and they have very good guard play. Teams like that are going to be a tough out for us all the way through. Toledo looked like crap tonight so that is one that is well within our reach. They are struggling a bit and their guard play, IMO, is suspect.

  13. I'm not actually too fussed about this one. Road league games are always tough and you're always bound to lose a few. For example number 1 Kansas got beat pretty solidly by wvu tonight. They're especially not easy when you're playing maybe the most talented team in the league outside of ourselves....this is why they were so highly thought of to start the year. I ain't worried. We'll be fine.

  15. Gotta love the respect we get in the great Pacific NW. Chris Rifer ‏@ChrisRifer Valentin makes tons of sense. Nice piece of depth at fullback. And, for the #narratives lovers out there, went to a good college. #RCTID 11:13 AM - 8 Jan 2016
