If anyone legitimately believes that our university has any chance of joining the ACC, I want what they're having. If anyone in the athletic department is wasting time on it, I think I want my money back. As for the attitude that we're too damn proud to take $60K for a game, you might want to look into a lifetime NIT pass as the Bethune Cookman's of the world and 21 wins over patsies will get you no respect nationally or from any selection committee.

I think a lot of people are waiting to see if this is the magic addition that we need this year, including me. Here's my take, in response to your assumptions: If all this was about was that he was behind the last two starters, wouldn't he have certainly stayed for another year? Can't we guess that he might be buried much further than that on the depth chart, and had no prospect of playing next year? So, assuming that there were no other issues, one has to be at least a little concerned about what might be left of his talent since he's played very, very little football over the last 4 years? Regardless, if this guy was a legitimate 4-Star recruit out of high school, we certainly owe it to ourselves to give him enough carries to see if he has it.

Hello Zip Fans. I am new to this board because of a need to post a correction. It has come to my attention that there is a post regarding the recipient of the Courage Award at this years banquet. The winner was indeed Ashley K from Kent, but the facts posted about her on this board are inaccurate. Ashley is NOT the girl that sits with the band on the floor at the Kent games and Ashley was NEVER sent over to heckle our team / fans. Ashley is a beautiful, young woman and sits in the stands with her grandparents. They are season ticket holders for KSU. Ashley is as sweet as pie and has developed a very endearing friendship with Keith. I felt the need to post this correction as Ashley deserves to be shining in the bright light that she deserves Moderators, could you kindly delete the inaccurate post made by GoZips? He didn't hire an agent, so I'm assuming he'll be back. After watching him against Big Dog this year, there's not a chance in my mind he's ready for the NBA. I don't think it'd be a half bad idea for Big Dog to do the same and get the experience of the camps and going against future NBA players

Not getting the respect of a call back from your peers tells me that there is a lack of respect or problem. I don't know what it is - maybe you can enlighten us since you're on the staff. My point is to you and always has been, the teams that you mention above that Akron is trying to schedule are playing other MAC schools - other top MAC schools have had no trouble getting games with NC, MSU, Kansas, Michigan, etc. What has Akron done on a national level to make them so "poisonous" to these teams? I am simply not buying it.

If the phone calls aren't getting returned and these teams aren't playing Akron - I agree with Morris, there must be a problem with KD. The teams that you listed above are playing teams like Akron. It's bigger than "we don't want to play you."
