Once every four years a D-1 basketball team may play a few games overseas. This is the year the Zips are eligible. The Zips will play in the Bahamas August 12-20. The hotel of choice is the famous Atlantis you see advertised on TV. Details to follow. <Insert disclaimer here.>

The Zips are currently at thirteen scholarships. There is one preferred walk-on. So far as I know <insert disclaimer here> Jordan Davis needs to pass two courses before he can apply to the university. I spoke with Isaiah Williams today. He plans to enroll second Summer semester. We want this level headed kid. He gets "it" about schooling. What an athlete. Both Creighton and Gonzaga are signed contracts.

You can't be on scholarship if you don't meet the academic requirements. They are paying their own way for 2016-17. They can effectively get the paid year back and be on scholarship for their 5th year, but only if they meet the requisite academic benchmarks after their 4th school-year. If they didn't meet the requisite academic progress requirements after 4 years, they would not be granted a 5th year.

yeah, was thinking about these 3 on the USMT as well as Clayton Murphy and Shawn Barber... UA should do something that shows that it is on the national (and global) map in these areas (soccer and mens track). These programs are as good as any in the country and attract talent from all over the world-- that would be a great message to send right now. I also saw that UCincy's president just left http://www.cleveland.com/metro/index.ssf/2016/06/university_of_cincinnati_presi.html. Maybe we can draft on their presidential search process since they seemed to do a good job previously... like, we should wait and just interview all of their finalists. I'm only half joking...
