  1. nice writeup on the Michigan bucks web site http://www.buckssoccer.com/news_article/show/672592?referrer_id=2354780 While Owens was named Man of the Match, Najem continued to show why he is a front runner for this year’s Hermann Award as the top male college soccer player. The Akron Zip sensation showed off some brilliant display of passing and made the play of the game with a strip tackle in the middle of the field and a laser cross to Cicerone, who was knocked down in the box before he could get his shot off. Three minutes later, Najem found himself in the box and finished a nice cross from Nick Wysong to give the Bucks a 2-0 lead in the 69th minute.

  2. One thing I should have posted back at MAC tournament time. . . Barrio is fantastic. If you like tacos, it a must do. They have a pretty sweet tap list as well. Anybody ever been to Diamond Grille on Market Street? Been past the place a million times but never stopped. I hear they serve a pretty mean steak but wondered if anyone could confirm that before I go.

  3. ...Akron’s done so much for me,” said Najem. “I feel like there’s things left unfinished. We want to win a national championship for the best fan base in the country”... ...These improvements to Najem’s game are what makes him arguably the best player in college soccer entering the 2016 campaign and a Hermann Trophy award favorite. Despite all the hype, Najem has remained grounded, “It’s nice to even be mentioned, but I’m not here for individual awards. I didn’t go to college for individual recognition. I want a national championship,” stated Najem. ... ...While the future looks bright for Najem, his focus is 100% on the upcoming season and what he can do to help Akron lift the title. With the plethora of talent from returning players and the incoming freshmen classalong with one of the top coaches in America leading the way, the Zips look poised to make a run. Zips captain Najem said it the best, “It’s National Championship or bust.”
