  1. We expected a good game and got more than we bargained for. You outplayed us in every aspect of the game and delivered a beat down. Best of luck the rest of the way. You showed us today how much work we have to do to survive the rest of our schedule. I can't speak for other Herd fans but you got my respect.

  2. I think this game is a lesson to ZipsNation. KEEP CALM. Don't Freak out until the game is over. We've got a good QB, Good WRs, it appears we have several okay RBs, and a defense that has the ability to step up as well. The fact of the matter is, we aren't the caliber of team to beat the Wisconsin's of the world. Yet. But first things first: lets do what we haven't done before or in a long time. Continue to go 2-2 in the OOC Beat Marshall at Marshall (Check) Go 3-1 in the OOC (TBD) Beat Ohio (TBD) Beat BGSU (TBD) Win the MAC East (TBD) Win the MACC (TBD) Let's make progress on these things first and then worry about beaing the Wisconsin's of the world IMHO. We FINALLY have watchable Zips football, enjoy the ride.

  3. It's a huge win for our progrum, there's no way we can pretend to be nonchalant about it.

  4. Marshall's drives were long and drawn out, while ours lasted only a handful of plays a lot of the time. The defense had to be exhausted for a lot of the game.

  5. You got it right. A few of the angles where you couldn't see the ball appeared as if the ball may not have come loose until his back hit the ground. But ONE of the angles where you could see the ball clearly showed that the ball was still on the QB's body....but NEITHER hand was on the ball. This is why it may have not appeared to be a fumble initially to some people. We were probably very fortunate that there was an angle that clearly showed the officials that the ball was loose.

  6. Still can't believe Akron put up 65 on the road at Marshall! JoJo and Lane are studs. Some younger guys that stood out to me were Davis and Featherstone. Both are athletes. Liked what I saw from 91 on the D line in addition to Moore and Broxen. Still disappointed in Rachael

  7. http://www.espn.com/college-football/video?gameId=400869278 The Moore hit and blocked punt. It looks to me like Litton could have been called down (flat on his back) before the fumble, but I'll take the TD return

  9. Good luck the rest of the season. Circle the wagons and beat Louisville next week. They are setup for a letdown game and it's great that you have them at home. I imagine they'll be ranked top 5.

  10. I wanted to point out one other thing to those who were watching the game: Does anyone remember the series in the 3rd quarter where Marshall was about to punt the ball, and they showed their QB on the sidelines throw his helmet down, and it bounced about 8 feet in the air? That was a big moment. I said to myself "We've really got them now...and they know it". After that point, I felt like they stopped playing. What a great example of how a team was playing so well just an hour or so earlier, and switched to a team that had completely lost their composure and will.
