I voted for JD because I know KD's track record, plus KD did not have much time to recruit players, while KD had some input with the loser he replaced, so BOTH will likely be COY in the MAC (or maybe Ohio). I'm happy as heck that we have them both.

These whiny Akron FB coaches are poster boys for the Nanny State philosophy taught in the high(?) schools, they think the U of A is a welfare program for marginal players.

A lot of good thoughts there, as long as we can continue to fly under the radar so much the better for the Zips. Other teams are waiting for the late season swoon that was typical of Cawford/Hipsher era--they don't recognize the fact that we have a coach now who get the most and then some from some rather talented players. I grew up in w. Pa--moved to NE Ohio in 1960--Haven't paid alot of attention since then but here's how it it used to work. WPIAL = schools essentially from Williamsport west. The PIAA = every other school in Pa., WPIAL and PIAA have playoffs individually then WPIAL and PIAA play for state Championship. In basketball, there are no leagues--schools compete in sections that serve as leagues, at the end of the regular ONLY the section champs move on to District play then Regional Play then WPIAL and PIAA play for state champs.

Well stated 16 years of sub-five hundred seasons do not deserve a Brcket Buster much less one on TV--Next year should change all that in BB-- maybe 3 years for FB Fan37

Whomever (get that good English?) drafts #5 hope they have an offensive line of some merit, Tim Couch, (and any other QB) that tries to run a football team without an O line is likely to be short lived in the league. I don't think Garcia will be able to take the pounding either. No offensive line = hurt qb. Pray Charlie has an offensive line where ever he goes> Charlie--thanks for the memories.

I must be beyond moldy, even ancient--I can remember a sell out (sro) in fact at a W. Ky. Acme-Zip game also one against U. Tampa and a few others-- the Bowl looks nuce filled--you can't see all the disrepair. We need a new FB stadium, any facts on a new stadium--I've heard all the rumours.

Beichly .667 11-6 Laterza .751 12-5 Webb .667 7-10 Huggins .683 9-8 Dambrot ??? 12-5 (Hipsher .449 3-14 just for the record.) DO WE HAVE A HOT ONE OR WHAT?!!!!!!!!!!!

If we do not have the best coaches in the MAC in football and basketball, now we wi;ll have in the very near future. KD Wed morn had rhe BB team running the "D" just like they did tonite. The days of stiffs like Crawford, Hipsher, Faust and Owens are over thanks to the AD, all of Bobinski"s coaches are all gone except for Lola, even Bobinski could find an acorn.

Leave him alone, there are enough criminals in Akron now, the U doesn't need to bring in more-- I believe in second chances but he is more Marshall material than Akron-- maybe with Can't's qb record he could finish his rehab there.

Best of luck for life, playing team sports at the college level is a great prep for the rest of your life, sorta like a 4 year stint in the military--but probabily a lot more fun.

Rw teams fading at end of game or season comes from one or all the following. Lack of mental toughness, lack of proper dicipline. conditoioning, or just plain giving up. For example the man who over the past 9 yearas was paid as coach (nite that I did not say coach). KD has to overcome all these problems--let"s ease off that would be a huge job for anybody. Think how far KD and the team have come this season. GO ZIPS!!

Let's go easy on the Zips schedule, KD has to teach the team how to win, how to be mentally tough and physically tough. The past 15 years has bee a disaster in both fb and bb. Hey BGSU played Bluffton, there are pussys on all schedules.
