1-AA in football would be perfect for a move to the Missouri Valley Conference. That is what football attendance dictates. And it would be great for a basketball team that certainly has had success to move to a multi team NCAA tournament league.

I have seen JB show up in comments regarding the Packers in a couple of places. So I'm assuming they must have at least set up some meeting with him?

Could it also be detrimental to kids that economically can't make unofficial visits outside of there immediate area?

The Zips are not going to get an at large bid no matter who they schedule. The only way they would is for the MAC to get to be a 2 team NCAA tournament league. That means the whole league needs to schedule better and when they do get in they need to start winning a game or two. Compare the schools in the MVC to the MAC. Just on name alone their is no reason for the MVC to be a 2 team tournament. But the league does have rules on who each school can schedule and they WIN.

Any A10 or MVC games would be an improvement. The MAC in general needs to schedule higher levels or it will always be a one invite league. How about Akron and Cant team up and schedule (ie.) Northern Iowa and Drake on a Thursday/Saturday in Iowa, then the next year in Ohio? That would give all 4 teams potentially 2 wins over quality opponents and could be done for small travel dollars.
